Aroldis Chapman Earns Save No. 13
Aroldis Chapman pitched a perfect ninth inning in Seattle on Monday, striking out the side in order on just 13 pitches to secure his team's 2-0 road win. Chapman struck out Randy Arozarena and then pinch-hitters Dylan Moore and Donovan Solano to end the game and earn his 13th save in 14 chances this year for Boston. Chapman has thrown a total of 30 innings in his 33 games and compiled a 1.50 ERA, 2.04 FIP, and 0.83 WHIP. He has 42 strikeouts in his 30 frames, and he should continue to be a strong option at the back of the bullpen for as long as he's healthy. Boston has been surging lately, and if they stay in the Wild Card race, Chapman will continue to be one of the better closers in baseball.
