Francisco Alvarez Sitting on Saturday
Francisco Alvarez is not in Saturday's lineup when they continue a series against the Tampa Bay Rays. The backstop has started in each of the past two games. During this two-game stretch, Alvarez has gone 0-for-6 at the plate with two walks and two strikeouts. This afternoon, the Mets will give Luis Torrens the nod behind the dish. He will bat in the eight hole. Over his previous 17 games, Alvarez has struggled at the plate, posting a modest .207/.303/.293 line with just two doubles and one home run. Fantasy managers should expect Alvarez to return to the starting nine on Sunday. The Mets are best to fade in DFS this afternoon as they will face Tampa Bay right-hander Drew Rasmussen. Rasmussen has been one of the top pitchers in the American League this season, posting a stellar 2.22 ERA.
