23XI Racing's Tyler Reddick displayed plenty of speed during the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, but could not capitalize on it with another underwhelming finish. Reddick started the race from the 12th position, but quickly climbed to the top three in a few laps. Reddick continuously competed with William Byron through the rest of the first stage, but settled for second by the end of the stage, scoring plenty of stage points. The second stage was much of the same for Reddick, as he continued to challenge Byron, but faded back to third after Denny Hamlin passed him. The No. 45 Toyota driver ended the stage in third and gathered more stage points. In the third stage, outside of obtaining some minor damage while racing for fourth, Reddick remained steady in the top five throughout the entire stage with clean pit stops and no other major mistakes. Fourth is where Reddick would end the third stage, behind Byron, Hamlin, and Carson Hocevar. In the final stage, Reddick continued to battle inside the top five, getting as high as second once again before fading back to fifth before his final green flag pit stop. On this pit stop, Reddick's pit crew made no mistakes, but Reddick himself ended up speeding on pit road, effectively ruining his chances of a top-5 run. As a result, Reddick made a pass-through penalty under green flag conditions, sending him two laps down to end the race in 26th position.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
