Kyle Harrison Joining Rotation, Will Start on Saturday
Kyle Harrison will join the starting rotation and get the nod on Saturday against the Washington Nationals in D.C. For the time being, Harrison will come out of the bullpen to make his first start of 2025 this weekend in place of the injured Justin Verlander (pectoral). The 23-year-old southpaw didn't make his season debut until earlier this month and has allowed two earned runs on two hits (one homer) while walking three and striking out seven in 5 1/3 innings out of the bullpen. Because of the fact that Harrison hasn't gone over two innings in any of his outings in over two weeks since joining San Fran, he won't be a recommended fantasy streaming option on Saturday, even in a plus matchup against the Nats. Harrison had a disappointing 22.2% strikeout rate in 24 starts in 2024 while posting a 4.56 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 118:42 K:BB in 124 1/3 frames.
