Nolan McLean Strikes Out Six on Thursday
Nolan McLean struck out six batters across six innings of two-run ball (one earned run) during his contest against Triple-A Rochester on Thursday. McLean served up two walks and allowed two hits. Through his first 18 innings of work at the Triple-A level, McLean has looked quite sharp, holding a 2.00 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP. Across this stint, he has tallied 17 punchouts and allowed just eight walks. Earlier in the summer, McLean tossed 26 1/3 innings to the tune of a 1.37 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP at Double-A. During this stint, the 23-year-old struck out batters and allowed just 12 free passes. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression at Triple-A as he could push to make his MLB debut in the coming months.
