The Philadelphia Eagles have hired Joe Douglas to a senior scouting position, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Enquirer. Douglas was the Eagles' Vice President of Player Personnel from 2016 to 2019 before being hired as the New York Jets' general manager. He spent nearly six seasons with the Jets but was fired last November. Douglas' tenure in New York had mixed reviews; he earned plenty of criticism for the Jets repeatedly finishing below .500, but there has also been some speculation that ownership influenced the roster construction and Douglas didn't have full control over the team. Regardless, Douglas now heads back to Philadelphia, where he was highly regarded during his first stint with the Eagles. McLane writes that Douglas was Eagles general manager Howie Roseman's "right-hand man" when building the 2017 Super Bowl-winning roster, and now he'll head back to Philly as the Eagles look to defend their latest Super Bowl title.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerRead More News
