Jason Day Withdraws From The Truist Championship
Jason Day abruptly withdrew from the Truist Championship late on Tuesday morning. The Australian golfer was replaced by Patrick Rodgers originally. The former 2018 winner had previously withdrawn just before The Players Championship due to an acute illness. It is not known at this time what caused Day to exit the tournament less than 48 hours before the start. Also, Patrick Rodgers withdrew subsequently and was replaced by Chez Reavie. Day had enjoyed a solid run of starts with five Top 30 results in nine appearances in 2025.
