Tony Gonsolin Activated Ahead Of Season Debut
Tony Gonsolin (back) was officially activated off the injured list ahead of his season debut on Wednesday afternoon against the Miami Marlins. Gonsolin has missed the first month of the campaign due to a back injury. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers optioned pitcher Matt Sauer to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Throughout his 14 innings of rehab work, Gonsolin has posted a 3.21 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP. During this stint, Gonsolin has struck out 16 batters and served up six walks. In his last rehab outing, Gonsolin logged a season-high five innings against Triple-A Salt Lake. The 30-year-old has not pitched in an MLB game since the 2023 season, when he logged 103 innings to the tune of a 4.98 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP. He missed all of 2024 after recovering from Tommy John. He does have a favorable matchup this evening against Miami, but it is best to fade in DFS as he may be given a limited workload.
