Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang (heart) will not participate in Thursday's season finale against the Washington Capitals following a medical procedure. On Wednesday, the team announced that Letang had undergone surgery to repair a small hole in his heart and will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. The veteran blue-liner has previously missed time in his career due to strokes related to the hole in his heart. He is expected to make a full recovery from the surgery. It was a disappointing campaign for Letang, who finished with 30 points (nine goals, 21 assists) in 74 appearances, marking his lowest scoring total since 2013-14 when he played in only 37 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
