Carolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov (upper body) returned to the ice on Monday and could be ready to rejoin the action in Thursday's matchup against the San Jose Sharks. The Russian forward has been unavailable for three games due to an upper-body injury. "We'll find out," Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour said when asked if Svechnikov could play Thursday. "We've got a couple more days. We'll see where he's at." Before exiting the lineup, Svechnikov went five consecutive games without recording any points. However, a haul of 43 points (18 goals, 25 assists) in 63 games places him among Carolina's top scorers this season. He leads the team with nine power-play goals.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
