Byron Buxton 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Great Bat When He Is Healthy
Byron Buxton played 102 games in 2024, which was the second most of his career and the first time he played more than 100 games since 2017. That's still only 63% of the season, but at least he was productive while he was healthy. He slashed .279/.335/.524 with 18 home runs, 56 RBI, 62 runs, and seven stolen bases. Those are elite numbers on a per-game basis, and that's further backed up by his .502 xSLG (92nd percentile), 13.2% barrel rate (89th percentile), and 39.5% sweet-spot rate (93rd percentile). He is completely healthy heading into 2025, and ATC projects him to slash .241/.309/.475 with 22 home runs, 60 RBI, 61 runs, and eight stolen bases in 433 plate appearances. His ADP of 227 is a good value. Just ensure you have a backup plan for when he gets injured again.
