Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Tyler Johnson had a nice Week 1, and it was thought he could step into a larger role for the Los Angeles Rams. He had a long play on a catch and run that dazzled viewers.

A bigger role hasn't materialized, even with the losses of star WRs Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Johnson has been targeted just seven times over the past two games, catching five of them for 40 yards total. To this point, he's not been startable.

Should I Drop Tyler Johnson in Fantasy Football?

Yes. If Johnson isn't fantasy-relevant when both Kupp and Nacua are out, he doesn't have much chance of being relevant at all this season. He could have a few more big catches and runs like he did in Week 1, or possibly the odd touchdown, but so could any of the other Rams receivers.

Johnson hasn't done anything to distinguish himself, and none of the Rams receivers were particularly startable in Week 3 anyway. WR Tutu Atwell had a few big plays and WR Demarcus Robinson had a big catch called back by penalty.

But RB Kyren Williams was the only fantasy-relevant skill-position player for the Rams in Week 3. It's tough to see that changing. The Rams offense ran through Kupp, Nacua, and Williams in 2023 when all were healthy, and Johnson isn't some upstart rookie learning the ropes in his first year and poised for a breakout.

Johnson is a late-round draft pick who's often been on the roster bubble and has been signed and cut by multiple teams. The Rams are generally aware of what he brings to the table and don't see it as a priority to get him the ball.

Who Should I Pickup in Week 4 Fantasy Football?

If you're looking for someone to fill in a FLEX or WR spot due to injuries or bad drafting, Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette is a great option. He was invisible when QB Bryce Young was leading the Panthers offense, but when Dalton stepped in, Legette immediately got some action.

With Young on the bench for the foreseeable future, and No. 2 receiver Adam Thielen sidelined for a few weeks with a hamstring injury, Legette is a great bet. He should receive decent target volume and is a great big play threat. There are few receivers with his size and speed in the NFL.

Cardinals WR Michael Wilson is a nice option as well. He had nine targets against a porous Lions pass defense last week and faces the Commanders, who have allowed the most fantasy points by far to wide receivers in the NFL, giving up 37.00 PPR points to WRs per contest.

Dropping Johnson and picking up Legette or Wilson would give your roster a boost.
