Should I Start Rhamondre Stevenson For Fantasy Football?

Unfortunately, Stevenson missed the end of the 2023 season with a high-ankle sprain. However, he still finished the year as a top-36 running back, averaging 10.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, totaling four rushing touchdowns on 156 attempts.

The veteran faces a tough matchup in Week 1. Cincinnati lost stud defensive tackle D.J. Reader in free agency but still has one of the top defensive lines in the NFL. Stevenson will need a meaningful role in the passing game to be a top-20 running back this week.

Should I Start Zack Moss For Fantasy Football?

Many have high hopes for Moss this year after the Cincinnati Bengals replaced Joe Mixon with the veteran. Last season, he was productive for the Indianapolis Colts as the starter. While Moss saw his role decline with Jonathan Taylor healthy, the veteran still had 794 rushing yards and five touchdowns in 2023.

Moss won’t have a featured role this season but should be the starter over Chase Brown in Week 1. The Bengals face the Patriots in what should be a low-scoring matchup. Cincinnati likely won’t have Tee Higgins and might be without Ja'Marr Chase. Therefore, Moss and the run game should see a boost in work this weekend.

Fantasy players should consider Moss a low-end RB2 with a safe floor because of the matchup and expected workload.

Should I Start Javonte Williams For Fantasy Football?

Williams was one of my favorite RB2 targets in fantasy drafts this year. He was the RB30 in 2023, averaging 9.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, totaling three rushing touchdowns. However, the veteran was coming off a massive knee injury. Fantasy players should expect Williams to play like he did as a rookie now that he is healthy.

The former North Carolina star faces a Seahawks defense that struggled to stop the run last year. They gave up 23.8 fantasy points per game to running backs, the third-most in the NFL. However, new head coach Mike Macdonald has built a talented defensive line in Seattle. Fantasy players should expect the Seahawks to have a strong run defense this season.
