EPL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings (2/17/24) - English Premier League Soccer Matchweek 25

Brandon's DraftKings EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League Soccer on 2/17/24 (Matchweek 25). His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back to “The Kick-Off” and welcome to the 23-24 season! Finally, a new season is here and we can welcome back our beloved Futbol. Many clubs have made big moves this offseason to help bolster their cup chances and chances of getting a European spot for next season. Will we see a new title winner this season or will Liverpool and Manchester City continue to battle it out for the top spot?

The top favorite for this weekend is Arsenal -350 at Burnley FC +900. I will guide you through this five-match slate starting at 10:00 a.m. EST.

If you have any questions on today's slate, bankroll management, GPP strategy, Cash game strategy, or anything else, don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected], via X @df_solutions, or in our Discord chat rooms.

EPL DFS Goalies

Jose Sa - DK $4K || FD $8

Opponent - Tottenham

Lately, the Spurs have seen a large amount of success on the flank and this weekend they will lose the heart of their attack. Both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie are out with different injuries this weekend, forcing the Spurs to play up the middle of the pitch. This could result in Sa seeing easier shots from the top of the box with the Wolves also pressing the Spurs into the middle of the pitch. Even if Sa is to concede a goal, he could still make value due to his ‘affordable’ salary. Throughout his last five domestic appearances, he has 14 saves, eight goals conceded, and two clean sheets.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Raya (DK $5.9K || FD $14), Leno (DK $4.5K || FD $10)

EPL DFS Forwards

Bukayo Saka - DK $11.7K || FD $24

Opponent - Burnley FC

Saka will be among the highest-owned players at any position this weekend thanks to his floor and ceiling. The winger is the heart of Arsenal and also happens to take the majority of the set pieces, not to mention possessing open-play value on top of it all. Saka has amassed five goals, 22 shots, 12 created chances, 29 crosses, 14 corners, eight tackles, three interceptions, and four clearances within his most recent five domestic fixtures. Burnley is in the bottom five or worst in all meaningful metrics against in the top flight this season, setting up Saka and the Gunners for a potential big performance.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Gibbs-White (DK $7.7K || FD $18), Gordon (DK $7.2K || FD $19)

EPL DFS Midfielders

Leandro Trossard - DK $7.6K || FD $17

Opponent - Burnley FC

Following the highest-owned striker is Leandro Trossard, the highest-owned midfielder. Despite Trossard never playing a ‘midfield’ role since transferring to Arsenal, DraftKings still has him listed as one. In Trossard’s most recent five domestic matches -- two starts -- he has three goals, 12 shots, seven crosses, one corner, and three tackles. Although Trossard has averaged only 30 minutes over his last five matches, he has still registered three goals in that time frame. In a match against one of the weakest defensive clubs in the league, Trossard is expected to score or assist at least once.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Ward-Prowse (DK $7.1K || FD $19), Barnes (DK $5.9K || FD $

EPL DFS Defenders

Kieran Trippier - DK $7.3K || FD $16

Opponent - AFC Bournemouth

Kieran Trippier is expected to be the highest-owned defender on the slate and for good reason. He is the majority set piece taker for the Magpies, playing at home in a strong matchup. Trippier, in his last five domestic appearances, has one goal, three assists, one shot, 11 created chances, 55 crosses, 30 corners, 14 tackles, eight interceptions, and 11 clearances. On FanDuel, he is expected an even bigger floor thanks to their friendly defensive scoring matrix and their created chances friendly scoring.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Zinchenko (DK $5.1K || FD $11), Royal (DK $4.2K || FD $11)

Corner Takers

  • Burnley FC: Brownhill
  • Arsenal: Saka/Martinelli
  • Fulham FC: Pereira
  • Aston Villa: Luiz/McGinn
  • Newcastle United: Trippier
  • AFC Bournemouth: Cook/Tavernier
  • Nottingham Forest: Gibbs-White
  • West Ham United: Ward-Prowse
  • Tottenham: Maddison
  • Wolverhampton: Neto/Sarabia

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
