CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/18/24)

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Today's DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/18/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

It's a little lighter on our Thursday night with eight games and the night tournament containing games from the main one. The Big 10 and Pac 12 are heavily involved, so we have nothing to complain about. It's still a strong slate. Minnesota and Michigan State tip a bit early in East Lansing, but I'm glad that DraftKings is just starting the slates a half-hour early instead of leaving the games off completely.

The usual window gives us Wichita State in Boca Raton to take on the Owls. South Florida heads up to Memphis. Illinois is in Ann Arbor to take on Michigan. Washington heads to Berkeley to take on Cal. Oregon State is in Salt Lake City to face the Utes. Oregon heads to Boulder to face the Ralphies. We end in Palo Alto with Washington State trying to chop down the Tree.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/18/24, starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower levels of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Johnell Davis, Florida Atlantic ($8,500)

Davis has scored in double figures in every game since the Liberty game on November 30. He has ramped it up a bit lately with at least 20 points in three of the last four outings. The Owls like to get up and down the court and can score with anyone. Davis is the big scorer on the team, but unlike most volume scorers, he's very efficient, which often leads to good assist numbers as well. He's an extraordinary athlete who does very well on the boards. That's going to be tested by the length of Wichita State, but the volume scoring can make up for a lot.

Sahvir Wheeler, Washington ($7,700)

Most of the team is shooting poorly of late, so Wheeler is back to taking more shots. Honestly, he never should have gotten away from it. Wheeler has hit 18 of 27 shots in the last two games and made eight of 12 free throws. Washington seems to be better when Wheeler is scoring as well as piling on assists. The poor shooting of the entire team has lowered his assist total, but Wheeler has scored 87 points in the last four games. If Wheeler's teammates can start hitting some shots, a spike in assists could lead to ceiling games for Wheeler if he keeps scoring like this.

Selton Miguel, South Florida ($6,300)

Miguel could be sneaky since South Florida moved him back to the bench. That's a demotion in name only. Miguel still played 29 minutes off the bench and posted his ninth consecutive game of at least 25 DraftKings points. Miguel is a good shooter, having scored in double figures in every game since November 22. He has a safe floor, but the upside is capped a bit with him coming off the bench.

Keeshawn Barthelemy, Oregon ($4,300)

Jackson Shelstad has kept Barthelemy on the bench, but Shelstad's recent struggles have allowed Barthelemy more minutes off the bench lately. Barthelemy is a solid shooter and a good passer on the second string and Oregon has started to run him a few more minutes when Shelstad goes cold. This inconsistency in playing time makes Barthelemy a risk, but Oregon needs all the production they can get. If Barthelemy keeps playing well, he should be on the court more often than not.

Also consider: Jaylon Tyson, California ($8,700); Marcus Domask, Illinois ($8,200); Jahvon Quinerly, Memphis ($7,200); Chris Youngblood, South Florida ($6,800); Myles Rice, Washington State ($6,400); J'Vonne Hadley, Colorado ($6,200); Jalen Cone, California ($5,500); Tre Holloman, Michigan State ($4,900); Bijan Cortes, Wichita State ($3,500)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

David Jones, Memphis ($8,400)

Memphis has scored in triple digits in each of the last two games. Jones didn't score much above his season average of 20.9 points in those games, but he did post a double-double against UTSA and keeps stacking the peripherals on his elite scoring. A ceiling game is possible if South Florida can keep the game close. They are a guard-oriented team that is going to have a really hard time containing Jones.

Isaac Jones, Washington State ($7,500)

The recent surge from the Cougars has been partially on the back of Jones. He scored 50 points and hauled in 24 rebounds in the wins over USC and Arizona, accounting for double-doubles in both games and a total of 91 DraftKings points. A big reason for the surge of Jones is his newfound aggressiveness on offense and ability to get to the line and make the most of those trips. This is a small sample size, but Jones has looked outstanding in the last two games, both against good opponents.

Brandon Angel, Stanford ($5,900)

Angel is a force at the rim and one of the better shooters from inside the paint this season. Stanford has started getting him more shots recently, resulting in Angel scoring at least 16 points in three straight games. Washington State's new frontcourt look has been outstanding over the last two games, but Angel and Maxime Reynaud are going to be a handful for the Cougars. This is going to be a great matchup, but I look for Angel to continue making the most of his shot attempts. He is shooting 61.6% on the season and nearly 80% from the paint.

Lawson Lovering, Utah ($4,300)

Keep an eye on the status of Lovering. He limped off the court on Saturday against Stanford and didn't return, but the injury is not believed to be serious. Word out of the Utah camp is that he could play tonight. If he does, he feels cheap. Lovering was playing more minutes off the bench leading up to the Stanford game, and is a value play that we need should he be active tonight.

Also consider: Fardaws Aimaq, California ($7,800); Olivier Nkamhoua, Michigan ($7,600); Kasean Pryor, South Florida ($7,200); Vladislav Goldin, Florida Atlantic ($6,700); Jaylen Wells, Washington State ($6,200); Malcolm Dandridge, Memphis ($5,700); Mady Sissoko, Michigan State ($5,000)
