I could get used to these two strong slates during the middle of the week! With college football over and NFL football waning, why not? The college kids only play two games per week so they don't need to load manage like the pros do. Our night slate has a strong seven games on it with all teams representing major conferences. Let's have some fun!
We begin with Florida in Oxford to take in the Rebels. Arkansas heads to Athens to take on the Bulldogs. Marquette hosts Butler trying to get back on track. Oklahoma is in Fort Worth taking on the Toadies. Boston College heads to the Loud House to take on Syracuse. We have some Pac-12 flavor with Washington State heading to L.A. to take on the Trojans. We end this in Berkeley with the Ralphies in town.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Tyler Kolek, Marquette ($8,700)
There is really no excuse for Kolek only taking six shots in the loss to Seton Hall on Saturday. That's his fewest since taking four in 20 minutes in the blowout win over Rider in the second game of the season. The peripheral stats were still there. I expect Kolek to come out swinging (or in this case, shooting) as Marquette tries to make up for their second Big East loss. If Kolek gets hot, he can break a slate.
Claudell Harris Jr., Boston College ($7,200)
Harris returned to the starting lineup back on December 21. He has scored 70 points in three games since then while shooting 24-for-39 from the field. As a guard! Six of those missed shots are from downtown (that can be forgiven...he made 14). Harris is on a heater right now to open ACC play. He has always been a good scorer, but that's magnified when he's shooting 61.5% from the floor.
Trevian Tennyson, TCU ($6,000)
The Toadies moved Tennyson into the starting lineup three games ago. In those three games, Tennyson has 45 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and five steals. I really took notice when he scored 24 points on Kansas on Saturday. That's not an easy task. Tennyson has taken good shots since being promoted, but he hasn't shot one free throw yet. If he starts getting to the line, look out!
Stevie Mitchell, Marquette ($4,400)
Mitchell played a season-high 30 minutes against Seton Hall and helped Marquette get back in the game with timely shots and steals. Mitchell is a much better basketball player than DFS player, but if Marquette is going to keep him on the court for 30 minutes at this price, they have my attention. This is a good defensive team and they share the ball well. Time on the court is huge for a value play, especially on a well-rounded team like Marquette.

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Quinten Post, Boston College ($9,100)
Post is an elite rim protector and one of the best-passing big men in college basketball. His scoring has slowed down a bit lately and his rebounds suffered against Wake and Georgia Tech (maybe because Claudell Harris made a New Year's resolution to not miss shots), but he should have an advantage over the Orange in the middle. Post has the highest upside on the slate with a floor in the low 30s. I can deal with that.
Jaemyn Brakefield, Mississippi ($6,900)
Brakefield has overcome a slow start with 97 points in the last five games. That raised his scoring average by 2.4 points in that span and he's still putting up peripheral stats. Most of Brakefield's value lies in scoring, but he's a very efficient shooter and is good at getting to the line. He hasn't been under 29 DraftKings points since December 10. The risk isn't nearly as much of a concern anymore.
Micah Handlogten, Florida ($5,700)
Hanglogten is almost a liability on offense, but he is an elite per-minute rebounder (he has 20 rebounds in 22 minutes over the last two games) and a good rim protector. His Shaq-like bricklaying at the free-throw line stunts his offensive growth, but Handlogten has at least 22 DraftKings points in each of the last four games. That's a good return on the price.
Jalen Graham, Arkansas ($4,800)
Graham's inconsistent scoring makes him a bit of a risk, but he's cheap enough that his rebounding prowess gives him a floor of double figures. The Arizona State transfer has played well enough to get around 20 minutes per game now after being an afterthought for the first month of the season. Value is tough at forward tonight. The solid floor of Graham is enticing.
