Tanner Hudson start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football lineup picks for Week 16. Should you start or sit Tanner Hudson in Week 16 (2023) fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start In 14-Team Tight End Premium Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-End TE2
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson is coming off of a strong showing against the Minnesota Vikings last week, as he caught five passes for 49 yards, tying his season high. It was the third time this season that Hudson has 40 or more yards in a game.
Right now, Hudson's much more valuable for the Bengals in real life than he is in fantasy leagues. He's come up with some good plays for Cincy lately, but it's hard to really trust him in most fantasy formats, as his production feels fairly limited. He hasn't had 50 yards in any game yet and has just one touchdown reception all season, which came two weeks ago against the Indianapolis Colts.
In tight end premium leagues where receptions by tight ends are worth extra points, Hudson has some appeal because he's had at least four receptions in six of the past seven games, but in leagues where you aren't getting those additional points, fantasy managers can safely leave Tanner Hudson on the bench for Saturday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who allow an average of 47.4 receiving yards per game to the tight end position.
