BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE2
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas has never been the same since his breakout season in 2020. The veteran has dealt with multiple injuries over the past few years but has had a solid bounce-back season. He is the TE16 for the year, averaging 6.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
While fantasy players shouldn’t trust Thomas as a plug-and-play TE1, he has been a solid streaming option. The former college quarterback turned tight end has had a few games with double-digit fantasy points this year.
Unfortunately, he has been in a slump lately. Thomas has seen fewer than six targets in four of the past five games, scoring under 6.6 fantasy points in every contest. This week, many expect the veteran to have a solid fantasy performance.
The Commanders are the most pass-happy team in the NFL. Sam Howell leads the league in pass attempts per game, totaling nearly 40 per contest. Washington will be without Brian Robinson Jr. for today’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, leading to more pass attempts for the second-year quarterback.
Los Angeles has surrendered 80.3 receiving yards and 15.5 fantasy points per game to tight end over the past three weeks while giving up two touchdowns in the process. While the RotoBaller rankings disagree, I believe fantasy players can trust Thomas as a low-end TE1 in Week 15.
