Ty Chandler's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Ty Chandler for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler had limited expectations entering the year. Many expected him to be the change of pace running back behind Alexander Mattison. However, his fantasy value tanked after the Vikings traded for Cam Akers.
Unfortunately, Akers suffered his second career torn Achilles a few weeks ago. The injury opened the door for Chandler to have fantasy value again. More importantly, Mattison has struggled as the lead running back.
Minnesota has turned their backfield into a near 50-50 split. The second-year running back has 25 rushing attempts for 118 yards and one touchdown, totaling 23.5 half-point PPR fantasy points the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears have surrendered 21.5 fantasy points per game to running backs, the ninth-most in the NFL. Last week, they gave up 112 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 33.3 fantasy points to the Detroit Lions backfield. However, the Bears had held opposing running backs to fewer than 11.3 fantasy points in three of their previous five games. Furthermore, they have allowed only two rushing touchdowns to running backs since Week 3.
