Cole Kmet's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 11 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Cole Kmet for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet is a low-end fantasy TE1 option this Sunday when his team takes on the Detroit Lions. Kmet's upside is boosted a little by the return of quarterback Justin Fields, but not as much as the team's wideouts.
Why is that? It's simply just that Kmet was still doing a fine job with Tyson Bagent under center, including catching a pair of touchdowns in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints. He has seven or more targets in three straight games.
In fact, his targets could go down a bit. With Fields under center, Kmet only had two games with seven-plus targets, so Bagent was actually looking his way more often than Fields. Still, the quality of the targets that Kmet gets will likely be higher, so it's basically a wash in that regard.
Detroit allows the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends, another positive sign for Kmet this weekend. He's not an elite option, but he should be good for a handful of receptions and 40-plus yards. He's failed to reach 40 yards just three times this year, and one of those games saw him finish with 38 receiving yards.
