College football season is nearing postseason action, meaning limited opportunities are remaining for a handful of teams to establish themselves as legitimate College Football Playoff contenders. We're headed into Week 11 of the 2023 campaign, and there are still some issues with the pecking order of teams in the rankings.

There are overvalued and undervalued teams all over the country. Let's dive in and analyze the five teams who are improperly ranked after Week 10 action.

Overrated College Football Teams For Week 11

Oklahoma Sooners: No. 17

After looking like a legitimate College Football Playoff team following the victory over the Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma needed late-game heroics to defeat UCF. Then, the Sooners lost two straight games to Kansas and Oklahoma State. However, Oklahoma is still ahead of Kansas in the Week 11 AP Poll. How does that make sense?

The Pollsters still have Texas over Alabama and Oregon State over Utah due to head-to-head results, so why isn't that taken into account with Oklahoma and Kansas? The Sooners' victory over Texas was impressive, but it's in the rear-view mirror now. Over the last few weeks, Oklahoma has not looked like a top-20 college football team. The rankings should reflect that.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish: No. 22

The Irish came into the 2023 season with a ton of hype thanks to Wake Forest transfer quarterback Sam Hartman. However, the sixth-year senior had a disastrous showing against a struggling Clemson squad, completing just 13 of his 30 passing attempts for 146 yards, two interceptions, and zero touchdowns.

Hartman has been ineffective in the losses to Ohio State, Louisville, and Clemson, and Notre Dame is now out of the New Year's Six Bowl picture. While the team will likely win its final two games against Wake Forest and Stanford, Marcus Freeman's unit should not be inside the top 25 this week.

Underrated College Football Teams For Week 11

Missouri Tigers: No. 16

The Tigers battled hard against the two-time defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs in Week 10, but they fell just nine points short of an all-time upset in Athens. Missouri now has two losses -- LSU and Georgia. Should two-loss squads Tennessee, Utah, and Oregon State be ranked ahead of them? I don't think so.

The trio of quarterback Brady Cook, wide receiver Luther Burden III, and running back Cody Schrader strikes fear into any defense in college football. The Tigers host the Vols in Week 11, so this one will sort itself out. Missouri has a legitimate shot at going 10-2 this season. Don't be surprised if they are viewed as a top-10 team at season's end.

Kansas Jayhawks: No. 19

Kansas improved to 7-2 after a seven-point road victory over Iowa State. The Jayhawks' two losses are at the hands of current No. 7 Texas and No. 16 Oklahoma State. As previously mentioned, this team defeated Oklahoma just two weeks ago, yet Kansas is behind them in the polls with the same number of wins and losses.

Lance Leipold and Kansas faithful deserve to be rewarded for their program-changing success this season, and the No. 19 spot doesn't do their resume justice. Kansas is staring down the barrel of a 9-3 or 10-2 season.

Liberty Flames: No. 25

I get it. Liberty has faced the second-easiest schedule in all of college football to this point. However, they are 9-0 and have an average margin of victory of 17.2 points (10th in FBS). Obviously, they can't be taken seriously as a National Title threat, but the polls could have given them more love.

Liberty sits at the No. 25 spot, which is third-best among non-Power-Five schools. They sit behind three-loss Notre Dame and three-loss Arizona. I'm not asking for much of a boost, but a few spots higher would make plenty of sense.
