Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Thursday (9/14/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We have two college football games on Thursday and three more on Friday, so it's a nice warm up to the huge slate of Saturday games. These games seem purposefully bland to appease The League, but I'm not complaining. Any night with college football on is a good night in my book!

Both of the games start at the same time tonight. Bethune-Cookman heads down to Coral Gables to take on the Hurricanes. We have Navy heading over to Memphis to take on the Tigers. This is still an interesting slate!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/14/23, locking at 7:30 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Tyler Van Dyke, Miami ($8,400)

I don't know how much Miami is going to have to throw in this one, but his efficiency works for DFS purposes. The Hurricanes blew out Miami of Ohio in Week 1 and Van Dyke still had a solid game. I view him as a must-have for cash games, but I can see the Hurricanes dominating on the ground like they did against the Redhawks. That would definitely cap Van Dyke's ceiling.

Tai Lavatai, Navy ($6,600)

Notre Dame made Lavatai look awful in Dublin, but Memphis doesn't have that kind of defensive power. We live in an era of college football in which all three service academies have seen their quarterbacks top triple digits in passing yards already this season. Lavatai did last week against Wagner, throwing for 161 yards and a touchdown while piling up 65 yards on the ground. I'm using Lavatai as basically a third RB.

Also consider: Seth Henigan, Memphis ($7,700)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Henry Parrish Jr., Miami ($7,800)

Every RB room on this entire slate is a mess right now. That said, Parrish has looked the most explosive of the Miami backs. Mark Fletcher could miss the game (and likely will...they won't need him). That should leave more carries open for Parrish, Ajay Allen, and Donald Chaney. Parrish has done the most with them so far, so I'll pay up for him.

Daba Fofana, Navy ($5,400)

Navy always uses a lot of backs and their quarterbacks to gain yards on the ground. Fofana has more carries than anyone but Lavatai so far and that should continue. It's disappointing that Fofana hasn't caught a pass and Brandon Chatman has four receptions, but I'll trust Navy's run game over the passing game unless they top 100 yards regularly.

Also consider: Blake Watson, Memphis ($6,300); Jevyon Ducker, Memphis ($4,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Jacolby George, Miami ($6,400)

George hauled in six passes for 56 yards in the blowout of Miami-Ohio to open the season, so his floor is the safest of any Miami wideout. He won't score three touchdowns again like he did against the Aggies, but George is a big play waiting to happen. When it does happen, he will be in my lineup.

Joe Scates, Memphis ($5,000)

Scates only caught two passes in his season debut last week, but he found the end zone. None of the other receivers on the team had more than three receptions, so I will take the discount with Scates. He is enough of a playmaker to easily hit value for this price. I still believe him to be the WR1 on this team, so he's my top option as well.

Daveno Ellington, Bethune-Cookman ($4,100)

Ellington is the possession receiver in Bethune-Cookman's offense. If you want to take a shot on one of their receivers, he's the one I'm going after. I would be surprised if anyone from BCU has a big game, but Ellington could return around 2x value on receptions alone. That's solid return for the price.

Also consider: Xavier Restrepo, Miami ($6,200); Koby Drake, Memphis ($4,500)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

Miami

The Hurricanes played a sloppy half against the Aggies before cleaning it up in the second half. I expect the Hurricanes to work on some things here, which means that most of the starters should see enough of a workload to pay off the price. A Van Dyke/Parrish/Restrepo/George stack could pay off, but then you only have $5,3000 per slot left for the other half of your lineup.

Memphis

Seth Henigan is the only sure thing in the Memphis offense. The backfield is a three-headed monster with Ducker expected to have a larger role after missing the first game and only playing nine snaps last week. Watson is the safest back, but that doesn't mean much. Scates is no guarantee either. DeMeer Blankumsee has seen a lot of targets, but Scates and Drake are expected to keep getting more reps.
