Julio Urias To Come Off Injured List And Start Saturday
Julio Urias (hamstring) will be activated from the injured list to start this Saturday against the Kansas City Royals. Urias will make his return to the big-league starting rotation this weekend after allowing a run while striking out eight over four innings in his only minor-league rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. However, the 26-year-old southpaw only threw 60 pitches in that outing, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to go very deep in his start against the Royals on Saturday. Still, the fantasy ace should be deployed in all starting lineups in single-year leagues in a fantastic matchup. Urias hasn't been at his best yet in 2023, going 5-4 with a 4.39 ERA (5.29 FIP), 1.16 WHIP, 11 walks and 53 K's in 55 1/3 innings over 10 starts.
