Main DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 3/9/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Armando Bacot CBB DFS ncaa tournament daily fantasy college basketball march madness

Here we are! Conference Championship Week is when the Madness of March really starts. The ACC, Big 12(10), Big Ten(14), Pac 12, SEC, and Big East tournaments are all playing all day. We close the night with another dozen beauties from these conference tournaments.

The Big 12(10) offers up Texas, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and TCU in another purple people showdown. The Pac 12 gives us Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, and USC. The ACC gives us Clemson. North Carolina, North Carolina State, and Virginia after a rowdy afternoon in Greensboro. We get Minnesota, Penn State, Illinois, and Maryland out of the Big Ten(14). We get Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, and Vandy from the SEC. The cherry is DePaul, Xavier, and another Creighton-Villanova showdown from the Big East. Are you ready for more March Madness? Strap in! It's going to be one hell of a ride!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/9/23, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Jarkel Joiner, North Carolina State ($9,200)

Terquavion Smith has slowed down, but it has been an all-out assault by Joiner of late. He has scored at least 20 points in four of the last five games and five of the last seven. That's not counting a triple-double against Syracuse on Valentine's Day and his normally strong peripheral stats. Joiner hasn't been under 30 DraftKings points since the Virginia game over a month ago. With the struggles of Markquis Nowell against TCU this year, this feels like an easy decision with as hot as Joiner is running.

RJ Davis, North Carolina ($8,300)

The late-season surge by preseason number 1 can be traced straight to Davis. Only North Carolina State has held him under 22 DraftKings points since a December 13 blowout win over The Citadel. Since that North Carolina State game on February 17, Davis has averaged 31.3 DraftKings points per game. That includes 36 against the Hoos back on February 25 that put them squarely in the tournament conversation. The Heels need this to really feel good about their chances. If they get it, Davis will be the reason why.

Brevin Galloway, Clemson ($5,900)

Galloway turned in his best game of the year about ten days ago in Raleigh when the Tigers ran the Pack off of their own court. He put up 28 points, nailing four triples and getting ten free points at the foul line. He hasn't shot a free throw in-game since. If Clemson is to pull the upset on the reeling Pack again, they are going to need Galloway to come up big. For this price, it's worth tossing him in a GPP to see if he can do it again.

Desmond Claude, Xavier ($4,400)

The freshman closed his first campaign strong after Zach Freemantle went down. Claude isn't a very efficient scorer in most games, but he's strong on the glass for a guard and a decent passer already. He's not going to put up a massive number, but he has played at least 24 minutes in three straight games now. He has a good shot at cracking 20 DraftKings points. At the price, RJ Melendez is about the only other guy that can do it and that's only if Jaylen Epps is still out.

Also consider: Jalen Pickett, Penn State ($10,100); Boogie Ellis, USC ($9,000); Colby Jones, Xavier ($8,400); Marcus Carr, Texas ($7,600); Justin Moore, Villanova ($6,900); Tyrin Lawrence, Vanderbilt ($6,400); Sir'Jabari Rice, Texas ($6,200); Ezra Manjon, Vanderbilt ($5,600); Jordan Walsh, Arkansas ($4,800); Cam Carter, Kansas State 9$3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

KJ Williams, LSU ($9,600)

There have been a lot of ebbs and flows for Williams this year, but he is in the midst of a positive one right now. Williams has at least 22 DraftKings games in five straight games. That run started with a huge 35-point onslaught against Vanderbilt, resulting in 53 DraftKings points, back on February 22. Is he scoring 35 again? Probably not, but Williams has scored at least 18 points in every game since. Add that to his strong rebounding totals, and he should come out as the high-scoring forward on the slate.

PJ Hall, Clemson ($8,100)

It has been Hunter Tyson that has really mauled the Pack this season, but Hall has six straight games over 30 DraftKings points. I like the consistency of Hall, but I'm probably running both in at least one lineup. NC State doesn't have anything in the middle that has been able to slow these two down. They both scored 30.75 DraftKings points against the Pack two weeks ago. If I'm going to get the same production, I may as well use the $400 elsewhere.

Brandon Angel, Stanford ($6,100)

Angel's 5-for-9 performance from the floor last night was his worst since February 16. He hasn't missed a shot from beyond the arc since February 26 against Washington. This sharpshooter has scored in double figures in every game since that February 16 "clunker" where he was a paltry 3-for-6 from the floor. Angel isn't a volume shooter, but he takes great shots and contributes in every category. That means he won't break a slate, but he has at least 28 DraftKings points in five straight. You don't usually find that production in this price range.

Tyreek Smith, Oklahoma State ($3,500)

Smith has started the last two games for the Pokes, both victories that they desperately needed. He and Moussa Cisse seem to work better together with Kalib Boone coming on in relief. Smith has topped 20 DraftKings points in both of those games, and I do have some concerns about Cisse's workload. The Pokes haven't really tested him since his January injury, at least not high-volume minutes on consecutive days. The minutes will be there for Smith again tonight whether he starts or not.

Also consider: Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($8,700); Dawson Garcia, Minnesota ($8,600); Julian Reese, Maryland ($7,900); Harrison Ingram, Stanford ($7,400); Jayden Gardner, Virginia ($7,200); Jordan Wright, Vanderbilt ($6,400); Dylan Disu, Texas ($4,900); Jaden Henley, Minnesota ($4,300); Wade Breidenbach, Nebraska ($3,200)
