DraftKings NFL DFS Picks: Wild Card Weekend - Sunday Slate

Daniel Jones - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Joe Nicely's DraftKings NFL DFS picks and lineup sleepers for the Wild Card Weekend Sunday Only (January 15 2023) Slate. His top daily fantasy football lineups to target for DraftKings DFS contests.

Hello RotoBallers and welcome back to Break The Slate! Our season-long quest to find the best plays at each position for every DraftKings Main Slate has now evolved into a postseason venture, and in this article, we'll be discussing the best plays of Wild Card Weekend for the Sunday Only DraftKings slate.

Instead of 10+ games to choose from, we're forced to choose players from just three games, which makes this Sunday playoff tilt reminiscent of the popular Thanksgiving Day slate. Obviously, we'll need to think outside of the box in order to avoid our lineups being heavily duplicated, while still targeting players with tournament-winning upside.

These DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, projected DK points and ownership, overall upside/talent levels, and opportunity, as well as factors such as Vegas odds, home-field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great plays available on DK for the NFL Playoff Sunday slate. Also, be sure to also check out our weekly FanDuel DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups – let's Break The Slate together!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Wild Card Sunday DFS Picks

Josh Allen - MIA @ BUF ($7,900)

A legitimate force-of-nature type of player, Josh Allen stands out as the strongest DFS option on the Sunday slate at the QB position. We can feel safe doubling down on that take in this matchup, as Allen has dismantled the Dolphins in the teams' two meetings this year.

Allen has combined for 704 passing yards and six TDs against Miami in 2022, averaging 35.3 DK points over those two divisional clashes. He's primed for success yet again, as the Dolphins have displayed little capacity for slowing Allen down.

Daniel Jones - NYG @ MIN ($5,600)

The Giants' signal-caller has flashed a strong point-scoring floor/ceiling combo this season thanks to his dual-threat capabilities. Jones has rushed for 708 yards this season - the fifth-most at the QB position - with seven scores coming on the ground.

Jones has also had his moments through the air. One of his best passing performances of the year came against this Minnesota Vikings squad in Week 16, when the NY quarterback completed 30 of 42 attempts for 334 passing yards and a score. The Vikes have been shredded through the air in 2022. Minnesota has allowed the NFL's second-most passing yards this season (4,756) and fifth-most DK points to the QB position.

DraftKings Running Backs - Wild Card Sunday DFS Picks

Saquon Barkley - NYG @ MIN ($7,900)

On a three-game slate, there's gonna be some limitations, and the RB position certainly qualifies on Sunday, as the majority of defenses in action have proven effective against the run this season.

Minnesota's struggles against the pass have been highly publicized, but they've fared only slightly better against the run. The Vikes finished the year just 19th in Rush Defense DVOA. This unit struggled to contain Barkley in their Week 16 meeting, as the Giants back totaled 133 all-purpose yards and a score.

Jeff Wilson Jr. - MIA @ BUF ($5,400)

The Miami backfield has been a committee situation, with Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. sharing the load when both healthy. Unfortunately, Mostert joined the growing MASH unit in South Beach in the regular-season finale, suffering a broken thumb against the New York Jets that will sideline him in the team's Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills.

Mostert's absence will open the door for Wilson to carry the load against the Bills. Perhaps his biggest opportunity increase will come in the red zone, as Wilson has logged four RZ touches to Mostert's seven since Week 16.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Wild Card Sunday DFS Picks

Ja'Marr Chase - BAL @ CIN ($8,100)

The second-year superstar has tortured the Ravens during his brief career, amassing 462 receiving yards and two TDs in four career games against Baltimore.

Already one of the most dangerous game-breakers in the NFL, Chase should continue to feast on a Baltimore secondary that's struggled to slow down opposing wideouts. The Ravens have relinquished the league's fifth-most receiving yards to opposing wideouts this season.

Richie James Jr. - NYG @ MIN ($3,900)

Any of the Giants' receiving trio - Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, & Richie James, Jr. - are viable in this plus matchup against the Minnesota Vikings but we'll prioritize James because he comes with the cheapest DK salary of the bunch.

With the plethora of injuries that have decimated New York's receiving corps, James has rarely come off the field down the stretch. If we toss out the regular-season finale in which the Giants rested starters, James is leading the team in average targets per game (8.0) and target share (25%).

He draws a dream matchup against a Vikings secondary that has relinquished the NFL's most receiving yards this season. James clipped Minnesota for eight catches and 90 yards on 11 targets when the two teams met in Week 16.

DraftKings Tight Ends - Wild Card Sunday DFS Picks

T.J. Hockenson - NYG @ MIN ($5,100)

Excluding last week's regular-season finale when Minnesota played it safe with their stars, Hockenson has been a consistently-elite volume monster. Since putting on the purple in Week 9, the former Lion trails just Travis Kelce at the TE position in total targets (87), targets per game (8.7), receptions (60), and receiving yards (509).

Hock blasted the Giants in their Week 16 matchup, dropping a massive 13/109/2 line on New York. While he might not be able to duplicate those numbers this go around, he still has an excellent chance to succeed against a Giants squad that ranks 31st in positional DVOA against tight ends.

Dawson Knox - MIA @ BUF ($4,000)

Finally hitting his stride after a sluggish start to the year, Dawson Knox has now reeled in TD catches in Buffalo's last four games. Knox is averaging 41.8 receiving yards per game since Week 10.

The Bills' TE recorded his best game of the season against the Dolphins, scorching them for 98 yards and a score on six catches in Week 15. Letting Knox get loose wasn't an outlier for Miami, as this unit has relinquished the NFL's third-most DK points and TDs to the TE position in 2022.
