ANALYSIS: In a season with few bright spots for the Indianapolis Colts, rookie wide receiver Alec Pierce has been a pleasant surprise.
The second-round pick out of Cincinnati has put forth uneven production across his maiden NFL campaign, but Pierce has flashed potential during 2022.
The Colts' slot man put forth the best effort of his young career in a Week 13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He recorded a career-high in receiving yards (86) and found the end zone for the second time this season.
Pierce and the Colts now come off their bye week for a juicy Week 15 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes have allowed the most receiving yards in the NFL to opposing wideouts this season.
While the rookie is stuck on an Indy team that's just playing out the string at this point, he should continue to get plenty of opportunities down the stretch. Desperate fantasy managers can give him a look as a FLEX dart throw in this week's plus matchup against Minnesota.
