The Bills' likely path to victory should involve a heavy dose of passing. In 2021, the Rams allowed the ninth-most passing yards in the league to quarterbacks while allowing the ninth-fewest rushing yards to running backs. In total, the Rams allowed six quarterbacks to throw for over this total in 2021.

While I hate taking a Stafford passing total for a less than, that seems like the most logical play against this Bills defense. In 2021, the Bills allowed the fewest total passing yards to quarterbacks and only allowed an average of 179.2 passing yards per game to the position. Overall, they allowed a total of one (!) quarterback to throw over this total and that against Tom Brady. Not even Patrick Mahomes was able to throw for over 275 yards against this defense.

Dawson Knox more than 36.5 receiving yards and Cam Akers more than 48.5 rushing yards

Dawson Knox could be in line for a solid game in this one as the Rams are not elite against the tight end position. In 2021, the Rams allowed an average of nearly 52 receiving yards per game to the position, which ranked in the bottom half of the league. This is also a number that Knox was able to get over in eight out of 15 games played and three out of his last five games played.

Akers should see a steady diet in this game given how solid the Bills' pass defense was in 2021 and is expected to be in 2022. Their run defense is solid too, but they ranked 11th-best in terms of rushing yards allowed to the running back position as opposed to best against passing yards to the quarterback position. Overall, they allowed an average of 86 rushing yards per game to running backs and allowed a total of seven different backs to get over this total.
