Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Druw Jones (shoulder), who was the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, suffered a shoulder injury during his first batting practice session with the team on Monday and might miss the rest of the year. It's unknown if he'll require surgery. Jones is the son of five-time All-Star center fielder Andruw Jones and was considered by many to be the top talent in this year's draft. He signed last week for a slot-value bonus of $8.19 million. D-backs farm director Josh Barfield said "it's too early to say" whether Jones will be ready for the start of spring training in 2023. It's a tough break for the 18-year-old outfielder, but there's no reason to believe this injury will significantly alter his long-term development.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
