DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/15/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - Fantasy Baseball

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 15th, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome back to another edition of the FREE DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks. As customary, we have an all-day ledger on tap Wednesday, and although DraftKings does not have a full-day slate, FanDuel does. Consequently, today's article will feature picks on both sites for games throughout the day, as even on DK, the suggestions will prove viable for someone playing one of the site's split slates.

There are some big-name pitching options Wednesday, but there's value in going a bit below the upper echelon to save some salary and still locking in plenty of potential upside. There's also a couple of particularly appealing stacking options and some strong individual selections from those games that could pay off nicely.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/15/2022 that includes a FanDuel main slate locking at 1:05 pm ET. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter and ask away!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Nestor Cortes - P, NYY vs. TB ($9,900 DK, $10,500 FD)

Cortes has already stymied the Rays once this season, and the left-hander will be looking to atone for a poor showing in his last start. Cortes looked human for a change while allowing four earned runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings to the Twins on the road. However, Cortes is back at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday for a matchup against a Rays team he held to one run on four hits over eight innings three starts ago at the Trop, and which has a .221 average, .281 wOBA, 81 wRC+, and -5.8 wRAA against lefties on the road since May 1. What's more, Cortes has been stellar at home, producing a 2-0 record, 1.50 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 11.4 K/9, and 0.6 HR/9 in 30 frames.

Zac Gallen - P, ARI vs. CIN ($8,500 DK, $9,300 FD)

Gallen opened the season with a string of outstanding starts, and even though he's subsequently been a bit more hittable, he's set up for a potentially rewarding matchup Wednesday against a Reds team averaging an NL-low 2.97 runs per road game. The right-hander still carries a 4-2 record, 2.95 ERA, and 1.07 WHIP into Wednesday's start, while Cincinnati sports a .299 OBP, tiny .086 ISO, .280 wOBA, and -9.1 wRAA against right-handed pitching on the road over the last month. Gallen has been impressive at home with a 2-0 record, 2.57 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 0.8 HR/9 over 35 innings, and his .224 xBA underscores how effective he's been overall.

Other options: Luis Garcia, HOU at TEX ($9,200 DK, $9,200 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 1B, TOR vs. Bruce Zimmermann ($5,500 DK, $3,800 FD)

Picking on Zimmermann is one of the higher-percentage strategies Wednesday, and Guerrero makes for excellent exposure in the highly favorable matchup. The Orioles' right-hander's 2-5 mark and 5.52 ERA are poor enough, but the career-high 13.5 percent barrel rate, .316 xBA, .610 xSLG, .403 xwOBA, and 6.46 xERA he's allowing all truly underscore that he's arguably been even more vulnerable than the surface numbers imply. Zimmerman is also yielding a .324 average, .431 wOBA, and 3.4 HR/9 to right-handed hitters on the road, while Guerrero boasts a .986 OPS and .407 wOBA against left-handed pitching, along with a 37.5 percent HR/FB rate.

Owen Miller - 2B, CLE at Austin Gomber ($4,100 DK, $3,500 FD)

Miller offers some nice savings on either site and represents a cost-effective path to gaining some Coors Field exposure against a struggling left-hander in Gomber. Miller has teed off on lefties on the road in a small sample of 31 plate appearances, forging a .345 average, .904 OPS, and .394 wOBA. The Coors Field environment and Gomber make for a tantalizing combination to deploy Miller against, as Gomber has yielded a .329 average, .435 wOBA, and 2.5 HR/9 to right-handed hitters at home. He's also surrendering a .297 xBA and .367 xwOBA overall, strengthening Miller's case.

Carlos Correa - SS, MIN at Marco Gonzales ($4,900 DK, $4,000 FD)

Correa enters Wednesday riding a torrid stretch during which he's produced a .478 average (11-for-23) in a six-game span since coming off the injured list. The hot-hitting shortstop hasn't had much success against Gonzales in 16 career encounters, but he's pummeled left-handed pitching this season for a .362 average, .954 OPS and .421 wOBA. All of those numbers are even slightly higher in a more modest sample against lefties on the road, and he has a long history of success against Gonzales' trademark pitches against right-handed hitters, the sinker and changeup, posting a .316 average and .382 wOBA against the former and .286 average/.374 wOBA against the latter.

Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS vs. James Kaprielian ($5,800 DK, $4,200 FD)

Kaprielian has been lit up by lefty bats all season, and there's no better player in the Red Sox lineup to target him with than an AL MVP candidate in Devers. Devers will enter Wednesday's action with a .332 average and .978 OPS after slugging his 15th homer, a three-run shot, in a win over the A's on Tuesday. Devers entered the game with a .372 average, 1.082 OPS, .459 wOBA, and 202 wRC+ against right-handed pitching at Fenway, making him a perfect foil for a righty in Kaprielian that's been tagged by lefty bats for a .317 average, 6.54 FIP, 2.7 HR/9, and .408 wOBA on the road. Finally, consider Devers happens to be an outstanding four-seam fastball hitter -- he's posted a .364 average and .514 wOBA against the pitch when seeing it from a righty -- and Kaprielian has given up a .343 average and .472 wOBA while using it as his most-often deployed pitch against lefty hitters.

Other options: Austin Riley - 3B, ATL at Erick Fedde ($5,500 DK, $3,600 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Byron Buxton - OF, MIN at Marco Gonzales ($5,200 DK, $4,200 FD)

Buxton's .233 average and .317 OBP have plenty of room for improvement, but his .585 slugging percentage offers a reminder of his vast upside. The talented outfielder has been a terror against left-handed pitching as well, as he's tagged southpaws for a .400 wOBA, .949 OPS, and 165 wRC+ overall. He's also gotten to Gonzales for three home runs in just seven career plate appearances, and Gonzales has pitched to a .283 xBA, .365 xwOBA, and 5.08 xERA that all belie his more respectable surface numbers to an extent.

Cedric Mullins - OF, BAL at Jose Berrios ($4,800 DK, $3,100 FD)

Mullins' first two weeks of the season bore no resemblance to his breakout 2021 campaign, but he's subsequently picked up the pace a good bit at the plate since then with a .263 average, .712 OPS, and 15.9 percent strikeout rate. The lefty-swinging Mullins has a good matchup against Berrios, who's given up a .280 average, .369 wOBA, 5.87 FIP, and 2.2 HR/9 to left-handed hitters this season. Mullins has posted a .400 average with just one strikeout in 10 career plate appearances against the right-hander, and he's generated a .273 average and .343 xwOBA against the four-seam fastball when seeing it from righties, a pitch that Berrios is giving up a .392 average and .504 wOBA on when throwing it to left-handed hitters.

Ramon Laureano - OF, OAK at Rich Hill ($4,600 DK, $2,700 FD)

Laureano is one of the few A's bats that's showing any consistent signs of life, and given both his penchant for success against lefties and Hill's struggles against righty bats, he makes for a strong value play candidate Wednesday. Laureano has generated a .300 average, .867 OPS, and .383 wOBA against left-handed pitching over a sample of 35 plate appearances, while Hill has been pounded by right-handed hitters at Fenway for a .352 average, .493 wOBA, 7.77 FIP, and massive 3.7 HR/9. Laureano's potent profile against the fastball, Hill's second-most often-thrown pitch to righty bats, also helps make his case, as he carries a .364 average and .419 wOBA against the pitch when seeing it from a left-hander.

Other options: George Springer - OF, TOR vs. Bruce Zimmermann ($5,700 DK, $3,800 FD)
