Week 11 Fantasy Football Tight End Outlooks

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry is a solid fantasy football starter in Week 11 against the New York Jets. Henry only had one catch last week, but he has been targeted 10 times over the last two games and is the overall TE15 in PPR leagues this year. This Thursday night, he should see increased volume with backup tight end Austin Hooper (concussion) sidelined. Hooper's absence leaves Henry as the Patriots' only healthy tight end on gameday, excluding fullback/tight end Jack Westover, who has one target and zero catches this year.

Therefore, Henry, who has already been playing more than three-quarters of the snaps and leading his position group in targets, should be even more involved against the Jets. In addition to Hooper's absence, Henry stands to benefit from a very favorable matchup, as the Jets have allowed the second-most touchdowns to tight ends in 2025. Managers should view the 30-year-old as a top-12 tight end in fantasy football this week.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox is once again rising in the positional rankings as starter Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) missed practice on Wednesday. The Bills enter an exciting Week 11 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where scoring should be plentiful. Knox saw four targets against the Dolphins last week, as Kincaid was limited to just 18 plays. The Bills' injury report should be monitored closely, but Knox could be a valuable plug-and-play option if he is forced into the lineup Sunday.

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. (hamstring) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session. Fannin entered this past weekend with a questionable tag and still suited up against the New York Jets. He hauled in four of his seven targets for 44 yards in the loss. This marks the fifth straight game that Fannin has hauled in at least four receptions in a single game. He has been one of the few decent fantasy options on the Browns roster this season. Fantasy managers will need to monitor his status closely this week with him getting a limited session to start the week.

Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) was a non-participant during Wednesday's practice session. This doesn't come as a surprise, considering Schultz has been managing a knee and shoulder injury for the last week. Despite that, Schultz did suit up for last week's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Schultz hauled in seven of his 11 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The hope is that Schultz was held out on Wednesday for rest maintenance. Outside of one dud, Schultz has been a viable fantasy option over the last five games. Fantasy managers should check back on Thursday and Friday for more updates on his status.

Mason Taylor, New York Jets

New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor was a disappointment in Week 10's win against the Cleveland Browns, hauling in 1-of-2 targets for a gain of four yards. Heading into the team's bye, the rookie had garnered five or more targets in five of six games. In fact, he recorded his second-highest target total of the season the week prior (eight). However, Taylor has followed 8- and 12-target outings with one-catch, single-digit yardage output. Naturally, the 21-year-old is experiencing NFL growing pains, although a struggling Jets' offense hasn't been an ecosystem conducive to success.

With wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) facing an extended absence, it stands to reason that Taylor would absorb a higher target share. On the other hand, there's no guarantee New York won't again deploy a run-heavy attack. Taylor is a low-end streaming option, and, officially, RotoBaller's PPR TE26 for his week 11 matchup with a staunch New England Patriots' defense.

Oronde Gadsden, Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Oronde Gadsden (knee) was able to get through a full practice session on Wednesday. Gadsden was forced to make an early exit during Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He hauled in three of his six targets for 13 yards before exiting due to a knee injury.

It appears Gadsden has avoided any significant injuries and is on pace to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. The injury ruined his fantasy value last weekend, but Gadsden has been a viable option outside of that game.

Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (back) was a non-participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday due to a back injury, according to the team's website. LaPorta has two more chances to return to practice this week, but the 24-year-old's status definitely bears watching as the team prepares for a Sunday night showdown in Week 11 versus the Philadelphia Eagles. If LaPorta's injury is serious enough to keep him from playing this weekend, Brock Wright would get added opportunities in Detroit's high-scoring offense.

However, fantasy managers would still have better streaming options at the TE position this week. If LaPorta cannot play, targets in the Lions' offense would probably be distributed more among running back Jahmyr Gibbs and receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. LaPorta has a nice 40-489-3 line on 49 targets through 10 weeks and is a must-start in fantasy when he's active.
