WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (6/26/19): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 6/26/19. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

It's Wednesday, which often means that we get a morning WNBA game. That's the case again today, as the Mystics and Sky face off in an early contest. With the game starting at 11:00 A.M. in Chicago, you'll want to get your lineups for the day set as quickly as possible.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/26/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Ariel Atkins (G, Washington Mystics) – @ Chicago Sky (DK: $7,500, FD: $5,500)

Over the last three games, the Chicago Sky are allowing opposing teams to shoot 41.1 percent from three. Washington guard Ariel Atkins is hitting 37.5 percent of her threes this year. That's a good combination.  Atkin's numbers on the year are dragged down by a pair of games where she didn't make a shot, but in games where she plays at least 20 minutes, she's seeing a sizable-enough chunk of the Washington offense to produce consistently good numbers. Atkins was 3-for-6 from deep the last time she faced Chicago.

Arike Ogunbowale (G, Dallas Wings) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $6,800, FD: $4,900)

The last time the Dallas Wings played a basketball game, Arike Ogunbowale attempted 14 three-pointers. While she continued to struggle with her efficiency on those shots, she ended the night with 25 points on four made threes while adding a rebound, an assist, and a steal. At this point, Ogunbowale is basically just a shooter, which leaves her prone to going cold, but with one of Dallas' top players, Glory Johnson, currently absent for EuroBasket, Ogunbowale basically has to be a volume shooter to help the team offensively. Connecticut is a good defensive team, but they've been a little more susceptible to the three lately; on the year, they allow 5.5 made threes per game, but over the past three games, that're allowing 6.3. It's not a great matchup, but volume matters.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Jonquel Jones (F, Connecticut Sun) – @ Dallas Wings (DK: $10,800, FD: $8,300)

Yes, you should play Jonquel Jones against a Dallas front court that's without one of its best players. On the season, Dallas actually allows the fewest points in the paint in the WNBA, but over the past two games they've been significantly worse due to depth issues. Factor in that Jones has become a lethal outside option as well and that Dallas won't have an answer to stop her inside and outside, and the only thing that could really stop Jones would be the game getting out of hand and her not seeing a high volume of shot attempts, but her ability as a rebounder and defender give her an insanely high floor anyways.

Tianna Hawkins (F, Washington Mystics) – @ Chicago Sky (DK: $6,400, FD: $5,100)

The Sky allow the second-most points in the paint of any team in the WNBA. Of all players to shoot two or more shots per game in the restricted area, Hawkins has the fifth-best field goal percentage. She's scored in double figures in three consecutive games while averaging five boards per game over that stretch. And while she's impressive on the interior, she's also got range to her game, going 6-for-8 from three over this same three-game sample. As I said above when talking about Ariel Atkins, the Sky have struggled to defend the perimeter lately, setting Hawkins up for a strong performance.

Megan Gustafson (F, Dallas Wings) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $4,600, FD: $4,000)

If you're looking for a major value play, Megan Gustafson -- last year's leading scorer in college basketball and a second round pick of the Wings who was cut before the season began but recently re-signed -- had seven points and eight rebounds on Saturday in her second career game. It's a bad matchup, but Gustafson could see a lot of minutes in a weakened front court, and her efficient scoring and her ability to snag rebounds could be useful if you want to spend a lot on high-priced players and need one of the cheapest options on this slate to help you out.
