Who should I start for Week 18? Fantasy football outlooks for Jalen McMillan, Adam Thielen, Jameson Williams. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.
While the majority of fantasy leagues held their title games last week, there are plenty still playing for the top prize in Week 18. It’s important to finish the season on a strong note!
Wide receivers are always essential to any championship team, especially in PPR leagues. Picking the right receivers can give your team the advantage you need.
Several pass-catchers gamers should consider starting in Week 18 are Jalen McMillan, Adam Thielen, and Jameson Williams. There’s a case to be made for each player, so let’s break down what to expect from each receiver in Week 18.
Should I Start Jalen McMillan?
McMillan is coming off a two-touchdown game against the Carolina Panthers.

He’s been more involved in the offense over the last month and has scored six touchdowns over his last four games. McMillan now goes up against a Saints defense that’s struggled this year. New Orleans ranks 24th in PFF’s Pass Coverage Grade and has allowed the eighth-most PPR points per game to opposing receivers, per Fantasy Football Today.
Most of McMillan’s success has been predicated on good touchdown luck as he’s only had more than 59 receiving yards once in his last four games. However, it’s hard to ignore the success he’s had. McMillan gets another great matchup in Week 18 and the odds are good he will find the end zone again. Gamers can start him as a back-end WR2 or flex play.
Should I Start Adam Thielen?
Despite being 34 years old, Thielen just keeps going. He torched the Tampa Buccaneers for 110 yards and two touchdowns in Week 17.

On Sunday, he gets another tasty matchup as Carolina faces a Falcons defense that ranks 25th in defensive passing DVOA, per FTN Fantasy. The Panthers are also eight-point underdogs, which suggests they will be playing from behind for the majority of this game. That means plenty of opportunities for Thielen to score points.
Gamers can start him as a solid WR2 play, as he should have another quality outing this week.
Should I Start Jameson Williams?
Williams continued his breakout season last week against the San Francisco 49ers. He posted a 5-77-1 receiving line on eight targets and scored a touchdown on the ground as well. The third-year pro now gets to face a Vikings team that’s allowed the most PPR points to receivers this year.
Detroit has had an answer to Minnesota’s ultra-aggressive defense the last few times they’ve met. If it can slow down the Vikings' pass rush once again, that will leave plenty of time for quarterback Jared Goff to find Williams for a few splash plays against Minnesota’s porous secondary.
This game has the highest total on the Week 18 card. We should see plenty of points scored, and it's a decent bet that Williams pops for a big play. Gamers should start him in all formats as a back-end WR2 or flex play.
