Who Should I Draft for Fantasy Football? Tre Harris, Demario Douglas, Keon Coleman Outlooks (2025)

Keon Coleman - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Who should I draft for fantasy football in 2025? Fantasy football outlooks for Tre Harris, Demario Douglas, Keon Coleman and our expert draft advice.

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Tre Harris, New England Patriots WR DeMario Douglas, and Buffalo Bills wideout are three options fantasy managers have been targeting to varying degrees in the late rounds of their fantasy football drafts in redraft leagues.

While Harris hasn't played a down in a regular-season game in the NFL yet, we at least have some NFL tape to draw from for Douglas and Coleman to help in our evaluations of these players. It's not like either has broken out yet, though.

Predicting when, and even whether, a player will break out is never easy. Comparing them to past players isn't always useful, because each player is, obviously, different. Simply looking at surface-level statistics won't get you all the way there, either. I'll try to in this piece, though, so let's dive into fantasy outlooks for all three and make a recommendation on which you should draft.

Tre Harris Fantasy Football Outlook

Harris has been a polarizing prospect for some time now. While he crushed efficiency metrics, averaging a ridiculous over five yards per route run in his senior season, it's not like he's the best WR in the class. I used to be all in on Harris, but his red flags are impossible to ignore.

For one, his head coach in college, Lane Kiffin, does a great job of scheming as much of the passing offense as possible to work through the team's WR1. That was Harris's role last season. In addition, due to injury, most of the games he played were against inferior competition rather than SEC schools.

The film is a bit more concerning. There are positives to Harris' game, of course. He's a crisp route-runner that excels at running quick slants, can work reasonably well in space with short-area quickness, and does a good job throwing defensive backs off his trail with craftiness in his vertical routes.

The problems are evident once you turn on the film of a game where he's not playing on a field with extremely wide hashes. The NFL field is narrower than the college field, taking away the ridiculous amount of space you have on the perimeter, so he won't have nearly as much leg room in isolation against cornerbacks.

Another massive issue with Harris' game is his struggle to separate on his routes. He has an alarmingly high contested target rate, meaning that even in Kiffin's scheme, he often battled for catches with opposing defenders. It's tough to succeed at the next level like that.

Ole Miss's offense didn't skip a beat when he was gone, either. Typically, great WR prospects in the NFL were absolute necessities to their offenses in college. Not the case with Harris, whose absence didn't seem to bother the Rebels one bit. I think it's clear who most of the credit should be given to.

In regards to his situation with the Chargers, I was initially pretty happy about it. Now, not so much. Of course, if Ladd McConkey were to be injured, Harris would probably get more looks. But Harris has been outplayed so far by fellow rookie WR Keandre Lambert-Smith.

Lambert-Smith's college tape is impressive, but he was playing in a worse scheme and with a worse quarterback. KLS also ran an official 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine. He has far more athletic talent than Harris, who ran a 4.54, does. Harris has other limitations to his game as well.

Athleticism does matter in the NFL. Sure, receivers that run 4.6-second 40-yard dashes can be great players, but there are other considerations. Being a WR involves incredibly quick changes in direction. Harris struggles to slam on the brakes and re-accelerate out of his breaks.

There's not a lot to be excited about here. I think KLS will quickly establish himself as the Chargers' WR2.

Demario Douglas Fantasy Football Outlook

Last year was supposed to be Douglas' breakout season. According to many metrics that track quarterback performance independent of wide receiver play, Patriots starting QB Drake Maye played well last season. Douglas failed to capitalize. His size and speed limitations make him ideal for a slot-only role.

This was in spite of a poor offensive line. Veteran WR Stefon Diggs is in town and just got a big chunk of change. Rookie WR Kyle Williams has been destroying coverages with his elite release package skill set and speed. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson should be schemed a lot of looks in the passing game.

Douglas couldn't even distinguish himself from WR Kayshon Boutte. There's nothing to see here.

Keon Coleman Fantasy Football Outlook

Coleman had major separation issues in college, and those largely persisted into the NFL. He's more of a big-bodied, contested catch receiver. At least his quarterback, Josh Allen, has a rocket launcher for an arm to alleviate this problem, but it's not ideal.

Coleman, to his credit, looked to be on the verge of a breakout last season before he picked up a wrist injury. It seemed to persist for the rest of the year, and he never looked 100 percent again. There's plenty of opportunity in a Bills WR room that's constantly loaded with the most JAG of JAG players.

It would be a mistake to compare him to someone like Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans. While that's a favorite comparison for many fantasy managers to make when discussing tall, big wide receivers, the problem is that Evans, despite his size, is an elite separator. He gets wide open and makes huge catches.

Coleman is a good fit in Buffalo because Allen covers for his weaknesses. But the ceiling is capped by his separation issues, and he's unlikely, according to my analysis, to distinguish himself clearly from his peers.

Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?

Coleman would be my pick here. That's because his quarterback, Allen, is a high-volume passer, and his team doesn't have a clear No. 1 wideout. I doubt Harris and Douglas will be able to earn significant, season-long, high target shares in their current offenses.
