DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 17 DFS Picks

Jared Goff - CHI @ DET ($5,600)

Thought by many to be a bridge QB for the rebuilding Lions, Jared Goff has outperformed all expectations in 2022. Goff has passed for 3,959 yards and 26 TDs while throwing just seven picks for an offense that's averaging 26.1 points per game.

He ranks ninth at the QB position in total DraftKings points scored this year. Goff and this Lions' passing attack draw a prime matchup in the cushy domed environment of Ford Field against a talentless Chicago Bears defense that's been pasted across the board. The Bears stand dead last in the NFL in Total Defense DVOA.

Mike White - NYJ @ SEA ($5,400)

With Zach Wilson booed into oblivion by New York's home crowd last Thursday night, Mike White will return to the lineup for this matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. White has been on the shelf for two weeks with a rib injury but should be all systems go for Week 17 at a bargain basement price of just $5.4k.

He provided a noticeable spark for a sluggish Jets offense during his earlier stint at the helm this year, passing for 952 yards and three TDs while averaging 20.3 DraftKings points per game across his three starts. White will have a good chance to resume his success against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17. Seattle rates just 21st in the NFL in Pass Defense DVOA and have allowed opposing QBs to throw 22 TDs this season.

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 17 DFS Picks

James Conner - ARI @ ATL ($7,200)

It's been all James Conner all the time for the ailing Cardinals. With Kyler Murray done for the year and the organization seemingly at a crossroads, Arizona has had little choice but to lean on their RB1 over recent weeks. The usage has been ridiculous. Since Week 10, Conner has garnered a crazy 92% snap share, the highest in the NFL for a running back by a wide margin.

He's averaged 21.7 touches over Arizona's last six and that extreme volume has led to production, as Conner has averaged 21.4 DraftKings points over the team's last six games, topping 23 DK points on four occasions. While veteran Colt McCoy is expected to be back under center for Arizona this week, we can expect their run-heavy approach to continue against an Atlanta Falcons squad that's struggled against the run. Atlanta has allowed the seventh-most rushing yards (1,612) in the NFL to the RB position this season.

Travis Etienne - JAX @ HOU ($6,400)

Attacking Houston on the ground has been a very profitable strategy in 2022, so we'll go back to the well with Jacksonville's dynamic RB Travis Etienne. The Clemson product has dominated the usage in this backfield down the stretch, averaging a massive 77% snap share over the past month, which is the fifth-highest RB share in the NFL over that timeframe.

He'll wield that volume this week against a Texans run defense that's statistically been the worst in the NFL in 2022. Houston has allowed the league's most rushing yards, TDs, and fantasy points to the RB position this year.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 17 DFS Picks

Garrett Wilson - NYJ @ SEA ($5,500)

Put simply, Garrett Wilson has been an elite receiver when anyone other than Zach Wilson is under center for the New York Jets. That's why Mike White's return to the lineup this week should mean big things for the talented Jets receiver.

The first-round rookie formed a terrific duo with White earlier this year. In his two full games with White, Wilson averaged 26.8 DraftKings points combining for 257 receiving yards and two TDs across Weeks 11 and 12. As a bonus, Wilson's DraftKings price tag is now at its lowest point in nearly a month. He'll square off against a Seattle Seahawks defense that's been middling at best against opposing pass catchers. The Seahawks grade out 21st in the league in Pass Defense DVOA this year.

Brandin Cooks - JAX @ HOU ($4,800)

It's been a frustrating season all the way around for Brandin Cooks, as the talented receiver has been frustrated with the Houston organization and has been in and out of the Texans' lineup as a result. Cooks returned from a four-week absence last week and wasted little time re-establishing himself as the alpha in this receiving corps.

Cooks stepped right into a sizable workload against the Titan in Week 16. He logged a 76% snap share and garnered a significant 30% team targets share, which resulted in four catches on nine targets for 34 yards and a score. He'll be on the field and he'll be drawing plenty of targets against a Jags squad that's allowed the NFL's third-most receiving TDs (18) to the WR position in 2022.

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 17 DFS Picks

T.J. Hockenson - MIN @ GB ($5,400)

I've been banging the Hockenson drum for what feels like forever - including in this article last week - and we finally got our blowup game against the Giants. Hock dropped a sizzling 13/109/2 line on New York in Week 16. Thanks to his elite underlying metrics, the party doesn't have to stop now.

Since landing in Minny on a trade deadline deal, the big tight end's usage has been off the charts. He leads the TE position in total Air Yards while ranking second to just Travis Kelce in targets and yards since he put on the purple. His Week 17 matchup against the Packers isn't an especially great one, but we simply can't ignore Hockenson's volume at this point, especially when he comes in at $2,700 cheaper than Kelce on this slate.

Evan Engram - JAX @ HOU ($4,400)

Despite being the position's top fantasy scorer over the past month, Evan Engram's DK price is still lingering in the mid-$4k range. He feels like a no-brainer here against a lowly Houston Texans squad that's struggled in most every defensive area and has relinquished 799 receiving yards to opposing TEs this season.

Engram has simply been on a tear of late and has looked like the player that we always thought he could be during his time in New York. He's gone over 100 receiving yards in two of Jacksonville's last three and totaled a ridiculous 367 yards and three scores on 31 catches over the Jags' last four. Engram has been targeted 40 (!) times since Week 13. His volume and production make him a lock-button cash-game play for me on this slate.
