Week 14 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks (2022): Break The Slate With Jalen Hurts, Dalvin Cook, Amon-Ra St. Brown

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, Draft Sleepers

Joe Nicely's DraftKings NFL DFS picks and lineup sleepers for the Week 14 (December 2022) Main Slate. His top daily fantasy football lineups to target for DraftKings DFS contests.

Hello RotoBallers and welcome back to Break The Slate, our DraftKings NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 14! I appreciate you joining me in our season-long quest to find the best plays at each position for every DraftKings Main Slate.

After a Week 13 schedule that was one of the more explosive slates we've seen in a while, Week 14 presents us with murkier DFS options. With few clear games - and players - to target, we'll need to lean heavily into our research process this week.

These DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, projected DK points and ownership, overall upside/talent levels, and opportunity, as well as factors such as Vegas odds, home-field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great plays available on DK for Week 14. Also, be sure to also check out our weekly FanDuel DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups – let's Break The Slate together!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 14 DFS Picks

Jalen Hurts - PHI @ NYG ($8,100)

Last week was another great performance in what's been a season full of them for Jalen Hurts. The Philly signal caller threw for three TDs while rushing for another in a 35-10 destruction of the Tennessee Titans.

The MVP candidate's 37.4 DK points marked his second consecutive game with 32 or more DK points and his seventh 25+ point performance on DK this season.

Hurts and this Eagles offense has every chance to continue the party this week against the New York Giants. After a surprisingly good start to the year, the Giants are now winless in their last three and come in off an overtime slog against the Washington Commanders that ended in a 20-20 tie. New York has allowed 20 or more points in three straight and their defense ranks just 28th in the NFL in both Total and Pass Defense DVOA.

Joe Burrow - JAX @ DET ($7,000)

Playing like a real American hero, Joe Burrow has led the Bengals to four straight wins and has topped 30 DK points in two of his last three - and four of his last seven.

Those numbers are a strong indicator that Joey B's DFS ceiling is as high as anyone's, yet he still checks in at a reasonable $7k price point for this Week 14 divisional clash with the Cleveland Browns.

Burrow and the Bengals looked lost in their last meeting with the Browns, a weird 13-32 loss on Monday Night Football in their first game without a then-injured Ja'Marr Chase in the lineup. It stands as their only loss in their last seven and Chase is now back in the lineup.

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 14 DFS Picks

Dalvin Cook - MIN @ DET ($7,300)

While the Detroit Lions' defense has shown improvement lately, this unit still allows 4.72 yards per carry and grades out 25th in Rush Defense DVOA.

They'll have a tough time slowing down Cook, who now has 20 or more carries in each of Minnesota's last two. That steady volume includes high-value opportunities, as Cook ranks fourth in the NFL in Red Zone touches this season.

Tony Pollard - HOU @ DAL ($6,700)

Despite Zeke Elliot's return to the Cowboys' lineup in Week 11, Pollard has still received touch counts of 21, 20, & 14 and averaged 24.2 DK points over Dallas' last three games. He's proven himself to be both uber-efficient and explosive enough to produce while sharing touches with Elliott.

He draws a true smash spot against the pitiful Houston Texans on this slate. Houston ranks dead last in the NFL in DK points, rushing yards, and rushing TDs allowed to the RB position in 2022. The Cowboys enter this matchup as a huge 17.5-point favorite and this offense should be both capable and content to dominate this game on the ground. While I expect plenty of touches for Elliott as well, Pollard has displayed a dynamic ability to produce slate-breaking fantasy performances in any situation.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 14 DFS Picks

Amon-Ra St. Brown - MIN @ DET ($7,800)

This DET vs MIN matchup presents us with the most desirable fantasy environment on the Week 14 Main Slate and Amon-Ra St. Brown is my favorite way to grab exposure to it. The second-year receiver has been a beast in 2022. Despite some injury blips, St. Brown has produced 830 receiving yards and six TDs on 76 catches this season.

His production can be tied not only to his obvious talent but also to his elite usage in this Lions' passing attack. St. Brown has been targeted eight or more times in six straight games and his massive 33.3% team target share since Week 8 trails only Davante Adams in the entire NFL.

This robust volume gives St. Brown one of the highest DFS floors in the league and a Week 14 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings presents him with a great ceiling opportunity. The Vikings have relinquished the most receiving yards in the NFL to opposing wide receivers and grade out just 24th in the league in Pass Defense DVOA.

Christian Kirk - JAX @ TEN ($6,600)

Lots of jokes were made at Kirk's expense when he signed a mega millions deal with the Jags over the summer, but Kirk has actually lived up to the contract in 2022. He stands fourth in the league in receiving TDs (seven) and 16th at the WR position in DK points scored. Kirk leads the Jags with a 24.9% target share and is garnering an average of 8.3 looks per game.

He finds himself across from a Titans defensive unit that is the definition of a pass-funnel, as Tennessee ranks first in the NFL in Rush Defense DVOA, yet has allowed the second-most passing yards (3,538) and third-most passing TDs (22) in the league this season.

As I just alluded to, the Titans' secondary has been a legit dumpster fire. They have allowed the NFL's most fantasy points to the WR position this season and come in on the heels of a thrashing at the hands of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 14 DFS Picks

Mark Andrews - BAL @ PIT ($6,500)

Lamar Jackson's expected absence in Week 14 would appear to be a huge blow to Mark Andrews' fantasy prospects, but I'm not sure that's actually the case.

Tyler Huntley filled in for Jackson on five occasions in 2021. Across Huntley's five games at the helm, Andrews garnered a massive 29.1% target share while totaling 498 receiving yards and three TDs.

He should once again be the focal point of Baltimore's passing game this week against the Steelers. Pittsburgh ranks 19th in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to opposing TEs this season.

T.J. Hockenson - MIN @ DET ($5,100)

A true revenge spot for T.J. Hockenson here, as the former Lion has a good chance to make his old team pay. Hock has been a volume monster since joining the Vikes and has been targeted 40 times - logging 30 receptions & 229 yards - while wearing a Minnesota uniform.

It's not a surprise to find that this Detroit defense has struggled to slow down tight ends in 2022. The Lions have allowed the league's third-most TDs to the position while relinquishing the NFL's fourth-most DK points to opposing TEs. With his elite - and consistent - volume, Hockenson should feast in his Detroit homecoming.
