Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups - Tight Ends (TEs)

In this space, we will highlight recommended fantasy football waiver wire pickups to consider as candidates for Week Ten of the 2013 fantasy football season, and your fantasy football rosters. Today, we've got tight ends to watch out for.

Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 11 Tight Ends (TEs)

rotoballer-fantasy-football-advice-tim-wrightTim Wright - TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Wright had a down game against the Dolphins, catching one pass for 19 yards. This was a huge drop in production from the previous two weeks in which he had nine receptions for over 100 yards and two TDs. The next game, he faces an Atlanta team that has a weak pass defense which has allowed 252 passing yards a game. Look for a bounce-back performance in Week 11. Wright is also WR eligible in most formats which makes him a more attractive waiver wire pickup or bench stash.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Brandon Bostick - TE, Green Bay Packers - Bostick was good with three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles. The sample size is small, though, with this only being his seventh game played. He may have problems in Week 11 facing a Giants team that's on a roll and is only giving up 227 passing yards per game. But the rookie is more of a move TE, and the Packers are looking for playmakers with the injuries to Jermichael Finley and Aaron Rodgers. Rookie QB Scott Tolzien will be under center again in Week 11, so Bostick may continue to get targets in the new-look passing attack for the Packers.

Tyler Eifert - TE, Cincinnati Bengals - Eifert was very effective in his most recent game, with three catches for 55 yards. This was a bounce-back game for him, as he only managed 13 receiving yards in Week 9. The biggest key here was that Jermaine Gresham was inactive with an injury, so Eifert played on every snap and didn't have to split time or targets with Gresham. It will be tough for Eifert to replicate this success in his next game against the Cleveland Browns. They're one of the better defensive teams in the NFL allowing just 217.4 pass yards per game. But if Gresham misses more time, Eifert will be a viable TE pickup off the Week 11 waiver wire.

John Carlson - TE, Minnesota Vikings - Carlson was terrific this week, catching seven passes for 98 yards. The biggest factor here is that Kyle Rudolph is injured and will be out for at least 4-6 weeks. This leaves Carlson as the only real TE option for the Vikings, and he could continue to see targets and receptions in the passing game. Overall, this season has been decent for Carlson, as he's averaged 8.93 yards per reception with his limited playing time. That said, he should not be started this week against Seattle, as they allow just 178 pass yards per game.

Delanie Walker - TE, Tennessee Titans - Walker had a solid game, catching four passes for 62 yards and a TD. This was the second time in the last three games where he had a TD reception. He's worth starting against the Colts, as they give up  fair amount of yardage through the air, and Walker is on a touchdown roll.

Brandon Pettigrew - TE, Detroit Lions - Pettigrew was great with five catches for 70 yards against the Lions. He's been a good fantasy tight end this season with 295 yards and 9.52 yards per reception.  Nevertheless, he might run into a brick wall this week against the Steelers, as they allow just 201.3 pass yards per game to opposing teams this season.  Start Pettigrew with caution, and only if you have no other option.
