EPL DFS Goalies

Neofytos Michael - DK $3.6K || FD $6

Opponent - at Juventus FC

In terms of seeking true value at the goalkeeper position for today’s slate, Neofytos Michael leads the charge. The Pafos FC goalkeeper, in his five UEFA Champions League (UCL) starts this season, has made 24 saves, conceded seven goals, and recorded three clean sheets.

Pafos FC, in their five UCL fixtures in Per 90 against metrics, are the worst in Chances Created, the second-worst in Shots, and in the middle of the league in Goals. Juventus FC is a top-5 club in Shots Per 90 in the Champions League, and they sit just outside the top 10 in Goals Per 90. If Michael can lock in early, he will have the chance to make value for the fifth time in his six appearances this season.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • David Raya (DK $5.8K || FD $13) at Club Brugge KV
  • Aaron Ramsdale (DK $4.8K || FD $11) at Bayern Leverkusen

EPL DFS Forwards

Bukayo Saka - DK $9.6K || FD $23

Opponent - at Club Brugge KV

Like Raphinha, Julián Álvarez, and Mason Greenwood yesterday, Bukayo Saka today is an integral part of lineup construction. The winger will be in charge of set pieces for the Gunners, with teammate and midfielder Declan Rice out with an illness. In Saka’s most recent five appearances in all competitions–four starts–he has produced one goal, two assists, 13 shots, 12 chances created, 16 crosses, eight corners, six tackles, three interceptions, and two clearances.

Club Brugge KV remains in the bottom three in the Champions League this season. In Per 90 metrics against, they rank in the bottom three across every meaningful metric, excluding Big Chances Created. With both set-piece value and open-play value, Saka is as close to guaranteed value as he can get in this prime matchup at Jan Breydel Stadium.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Álex Berenguer (DK $6.5K || FD $16) vs. Paris Saint-Germain
  • David Neres (DK $5.7K || FD $15) at SL Benfica

EPL DFS Midfielders

Bruno Guimarães - DK $5.6K || FD $16

Opponent - at Bayern Leverkusen

Bruno Guimarães could become one of the top value plays of the slate today. The box-to-box midfielder will be in charge of the bulk of the set pieces for the Magpies, with teammates Sandro Tonali and Kieran Trippier not expected to start. In Guimarães' last five fixtures in all competitions–four starts–he has amassed two goals, one assist, eight shots, five chances created, 13 crosses, 10 corners, six tackles, six interceptions, and seven clearances.

Pafos FC has done well to mitigate goals against when possible. They are bottom-10 in both Big Chances Created Against Per 90 and In-the-Box Shots Against Per 90, and they are bottom-3 in both Shots Against Per 90 and Chances Created Against Per 90. They are in the middle of the league across all other metrics, excluding Crosses Against, where they are second-worst in the league and worst on the slate. Considering Bruno’s production at both ends of the pitch, it would be shocking for him not to reach value.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Arda Güler (DK $7.7K || FD $19) vs. Manchester City FC
  • Heorhii Sudakov (DK $8.5K || FD $17) vs. SSC Napoli

EPL DFS Defenders

Defenders

Alejandro Grimaldo - DK $6.9K || FD $16

Opponent - vs. Newcastle United

Newcastle United will not be an easy matchup, but Alejandro Grimaldo has the most optimal floor and ceiling for any defender today. The Spaniard controls all set pieces for Bayern Leverkusen. In his last five matches across all competitions, he has recorded one goal, one assist, eight shots, 12 chances created, 19 crosses, 13 corners, eight tackles, four interceptions, and 16 clearances.

Despite strong defensive metrics, Newcastle United have been more generous to opponents lately. They have also not recorded a clean sheet since November 11th, at home against Athletic Club. All it takes is one bounce the right way, and Grimaldo will be on track for a ceiling performance.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Yan Couto (DK $5.7K || FD $14) vs. Bodø/Glimt
  • Willian Pacho (DK $3.6K || FD $12) at Athletic Club

Corner Takers

  • Athletic Club: Álex Berenguer
  • Paris Saint-Germain: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
  • Bayern Leverkusen: Alejandro Grimaldo
  • Newcastle United: Bruno Guimarães
  • Borussia Dortmund: Daniel Svensson/Yan Couto
  • Bodø/Glimt: Patrick Berg
  • Club Brugge KV: Christos Tzolis
  • Arsenal FC: Bukayo Saka
  • Juventus FC: Kenin Yildiz
  • Pafos FC: Mislav Orsic
  • Real Madrid CF: Arda Güler
  • Manchester City FC: Phil Foden/Rayan Cherki
  • SL Benfica: Heorhii Sudakov
  • SSC Napoli: David Neres
