Will Tucker Kraft play in Week 3 for fantasy football? Is Tucker Kraft injured or hurt heading into Week 3 of 2025? Read the latest Tucker Kraft injury report.
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) had his first big game of 2025 in Week 2, when he caught six of his seven targets for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Kraft had big games last season, but the long-term absence of Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (foot, clavicle) seemed to bet set to boost Kraft's production.
Yet injuries are the one thing that nobody can control, and Kraft is now dealing with a knee issue. So what's the latest news on Kraft? Will he be able to play in Week 3?

Tucker Kraft Fantasy Football Injury Update
On Thursday, Kraft suffered a knee injury in practice, and while it was initially feared to be something serious, subsequent reports indicated that he likely wouldn't miss extended time. He's apparently not a candidate for injured reserve, which is good news.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft will not practice today. HC Matt LaFleur told reporters that he didn’t think Kraft needed to go on injured reserve but he also was uncertain about his status for Sunday’s game at Cleveland. pic.twitter.com/vvXuLXEhL5

For now, it does appear that Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is intentionally being vague about his injury. The news has been a bit of a roller coaster, but it's important to try to get to the bottom of things and not let hope completely take over.
There's often a false narrative that an injury is "nothing" after a bit of positive news comes out after a big scare. This injury likely is something pretty serious. It might only lead to him missing a few weeks, but we'll have to see. Either way, we shouldn't expect him to miss more than four contests, given that he's not a candidate for IR.

I'm not sure if LaFleur would be quick to rule him out if he had something like a sprain that would require multiple weeks to heal. Given that he's suggested that Kraft's own input will play a part in the decision to start him, it could depend on the level of pain he's feeling.

Is Tucker Kraft Playing in Week 3?
For now, I'd lean toward him not playing or at least having his reps capped in the game due to the injury. Reed's absence means the team will depend more heavily on their other pass-catchers, especially as they face the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has had one of the league's best run defenses this season.
Kraft's final status will have to be something we find out later. Be sure to stay updated as game day draws closer. Green Bay will face the Browns on Sunday at 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. You'll be able to know his status a minimum of 90 minutes before the game, if we don't get the news sooner.
Tucker Kraft Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 3
The injury likely will hurt his fantasy value for this contest. Should he be dealing with significant pain, as seems to be the case, it probably wouldn't be wise to feed him a ton of targets and have him on the field for over 90 percent of the snaps, where he'd be working as a blocker.
No filming rehabbing players, but saw Tucker Kraft doing the following with a sleeve on his right leg:
• Resistance band around legs
• Pulling weighted sled by strap around waist
• High knees jogging
• Lateral chopping of feet, slides
• Suck it crotch chop handshake with Bo…— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) September 19, 2025
Kraft has been practicing in a limited capacity. This is a good sign for the long term, at least. I'm not so sure his highly interesting handshake with his teammate is an indicator of health, but rather camaraderie with his fellow cheese-heads, which isn't a bad sign to see.
Kraft will present a difficult start or sit decision for fantasy managers. I'd lean toward benching him if you have two solid tight ends on your roster. I'd grab another TE in free agency with a good matchup if not, like Harold Fannin Jr., if he's available.
