Top Hitter Streamers and Starts - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 7 (May 12 - May 18)

Agustin Ramirez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Prospects, Draft Sleepers

Dan's top hitter streamers and starts as fantasy baseball waiver wire adds for Week 7 of 2025 (May 12 - May 18). He analyzes streamers with favorable matchups, schedules.

I would be remiss if I didn't start this week's column with a big shout-out to all moms on Mother's Day! Moms love baseball, too, so go give yours a big hug and then take her to a ballgame or even just turn one on to watch for the afternoon.

Our hitter streamers fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with favorable matchups who can be considered waiver wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions. Players who appear in this article will always be rostered in 40 percent or fewer leagues on Yahoo!

In this piece, every week, I'll look to find hitters playing in the most games and who have the most favorable matchups to help you plug those gaps and fill those holes in your roster. You can also check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content here at RotoBaller. Now, let's see which hitters we should consider grabbing off the wire as we roll into Week 7 of the fantasy baseball season!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

What Teams Offer the Most Streaming Value in Week 7?

Most teams are playing six games this week.

However, the Braves, Rangers, Astros, and Nationals play seven games.

Ballpark Upgrades:

  • CIN (All six games at home)
  • CHW (Three games at Cincy, three games at Wrigley)
  • CLE (Three games at Cincy)

Week 7 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

I'll recommend only players who are 40 percent rostered or lower, and all roster percentages are from Yahoo! The list is a bit longer this week than in prior weeks, so I am going to keep the blurbs a bit shorter so we can feature more players.

Agustin Ramirez, C/1B - MIA (38% rostered)

I didn't think I'd see him under 40 percent rostership again this season, but some impatient managers have dropped Ramirez after a cold snap in the last week of April and the first week of May. But Ramirez has six hits over his last five games, including his fourth home run of the season.

His batted ball metrics look amazing, as he's pummeling the baseball with an exit velocity over 100 mph on 50 percent of his batted balls. The hits (and home runs) are coming, snag him if you can!

Max Muncy, 3B - LAD (34% rostered)

Yes, he's still hitting below the Mendoza Line, but Muncy is starting to trend in the right direction with hits in his last four games. The Dodgers are still rolling him out there every day and allowing him to get going.

He has a pretty sweet week of matchups coming up as the Dodgers get the Athletics and Angels at home this week. Those two teams rank 25th and 26th in ERA in the league.

Trent Grisham, OF - NYY (33% rostered)

Grisham's rostership continues to climb, as he was just 22 percent rostered in last week's column. I was as skeptical as anyone that he could keep it up, but he's done just that, clubbing two more home runs this week and scoring a run in six straight. With 10 home runs, 20 RBI, and 21 runs scored, he should be universally rostered -- c'mon, people!

Kyle Manzardo, 1B - CLE (29% rostered)

I know what you're thinking, "Here we go again." But how can we ignore a guy who hit his ninth home run this week and continues to hit in the middle of the order? I was high on him coming into the year, and I'm willing to give him another shot; there's enough upside there to justify a roster spot.

Josh Smith, 1B/3B/SS/OF - TEX (29% rostered)

Just when you thought Smith couldn't become any more versatile, he earns first base eligibility, too! All he does is get on base, which is why Texas has moved him into the leadoff spot. He's riding a six-game hitting streak and has now scored 18 runs. He's a great fit for any team that needs depth, pretty much anywhere!

Ryan McMahon, 3B - COL (28% rostered)

The Rockies are on the road this week, but McMahon's bat appears to have finally woken up. He has two home runs in his last four games and seven hits during that stretch. He's too good a hitter to hit as poorly as he did in April, so if you need help at the hot corner, he makes sense as a pickup now that he's started to turn it around.

Jake Cronenworth, 1B/2B - SD (27% rostered)

In case you forgot about "Jake the Rake," he reminded everyone very quickly that he can hit with three hits (including a home run), four RBI, and four runs scored in his first two games back. The second-base eligibility is clutch; he has more power and run production potential than most middle infielders.

Daniel Schneemann, 2B/3B/SS/OF - CLE (26% rostered)

Schneemann looks a lot like Josh Smith 2.0. He's been one of the best Guardians hitters of late with a hit in seven straight games and some sneaky power as he's now up to five home runs on the season.

His solid contact skills have earned him a better lineup spot, too, as he's hit second in his last four starts for Cleveland.

Hyeseong Kim, 2B/SS - LAD (23% rostered)

As if the Dodgers needed another weapon! Kim came up this week and immediately made an impact, hitting over .300 with two RBI, four runs scored, and two steals. He had 13 steals in 13 attempts in 28 games at Triple-A Oklahoma City, so there is some serious steals upside here from the youngster.

Colt Keith, 1B/2B - DET (18% rostered)

If we ignore the horrible April that Keith had at the plate and only focus on what he's done in May so far, it's easy to see why he's an enticing pickup. Since April 30, Keith has four home runs, nine RBI, and 10 runs scored. He's started seven straight games and is one of the hottest Tigers hitters right now.

Connor Norby, 2B/3B - MIA (12% rostered)

Norby was the other prospect who came over from Baltimore with Kyle Stowers in the Trevor Rogers deal last season. He missed three weeks of action right out of the gates, but is back to playing every day for Miami. His stats don't show many results yet, but this is a talented young player who has hit for average at every level in the minors, and he has some speed. He stole two bases yesterday and has a hit in five straight games.

Evan Carter, OF - TEX (11% rostered)

Remember going into last season when Evan Carter was a sexy pick in the middle rounds, who many thought was poised to break out? It didn't quite work out for him, but he's made his way back to the big leagues and has started four of the last five games for the Rangers.

He smacked his first home run of the season yesterday and is worth a speculative add in case he ends up making it a habit. He's still young and probably pretty good at baseball!

Week 7 Deeper League Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers to Consider

Some widely available hitters (under 10 percent rostered) could be worth a look this week.

Good luck this week, and choose those streaming options wisely!
