NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes for Sonoma - Toyota/Save Mart 350 (2025)

A.J. Allmendinger - NASCAR DFS Lineup Picks, NASCAR Betting Picks

NASCAR practice speeds, lap averages and notes for the 2025 Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma. Use the NASCAR stats and data to build DFS lineups on DraftKings.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Sonoma Raceway on Saturday morning/afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday afternoon.

The 37-car field was split in to two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Michael McDowell - The No. 71 Chevrolet spun out early in the session, but there was no major damage to the race car. McDowell came into the race weekend as one of the favorites, but admitted after his practice session that they were struggling quite a bit this weekend (so far) to find the speed that they expected.

Shane van Gisbergen - SVG had the third-fastest single lap and ranked fastest in 10-lap average during practice, but when interviewed afterward, he said the car wasn't very good. The practice speeds don't line up with van Gisbergen's words.
