BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 20% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Of course, this being Ryan Fitzpatrick we're discussing here when the rumors started to get hot about a potential benching in favor of Tua, our beloved Fitzmagic had his best game in ages. The Dolphins paid a no. 5 pick to draft Tua Tagovailoa just a few months ago, and he's definitely their QB of the future. Nothing new about that. Tua's past injuries put Fitz at the helm to start the year, and he's already started all five games--and what is yet to come, it seems.
While Tagovailoa is inching closer to taking the reins, Fitzpatrick has maintained a good level of play so far in 2020 and he should stay as Miami's starter at least for one more week. Fitz had one his most efficient games ever this past Sunday, completing 22 of 28 passes for 350 yards, throwing for 3 touchdowns, and avoiding being intercepted. On top of that, the QB added 16 rushing yards on 3 carries. Fitz's 27.6 fantasy points made him the seventh-best player through Sunday's games and the QB2 of the week pending MNF/TNF.
This latest performance mark the fourth in a row in which Fitzpatrick has scored 21+ fantasy points. In the last four games, he has passed for 315+ yards three times, thrown 2+ TDs also in three games, and in the W3 game in which he could only reach 160 passing yards he made up for it with 2 TDs passing and another one rushing.
Fitzmagic is currently the QB8 of the season averaging 20.8 fantasy points per game and boasts a 73% completion rate. He's also a menace rushing, with 131 yards and 2 TDs on the ground already. I'd say make him part of your roster even in 12-team leagues, but given the threat of Tua getting the nod soon, I'd pass on that. Definitely target him as a weekly starter in deeper (14+ teams) leagues, though.
