Round 4 PGA DFS Showdown Picks - 2025 Genesis Scottish Open

Rory McIlroy - PGA DFS Picks, Golf Betting Picks

Jens Christenson Round 4 PGA DFS showdown slate picks for the 2025 Scottish Open. His top in-tournament DFS lineup picks and top plays for DraftKings and FanDuel.

With the PGA Tour season beginning to reach its conclusion, some of the most fan-favorite golf is right around the corner. This week's Scottish Open is the start of arguably the most compelling run of the year, and with one round left, things are shaping up to have an epic Sunday in North Berwick.

The bombers have made their way to the top of the leaderboard in strong numbers. Rory McIlroy made his move on Saturday in the toughest conditions of the week, posting a -4 under par, 66 to join Chris Gotterup at -11 under, two clear of the rest of the field. While the longest hitters that professional golf has to offer have made their way to the forefront, putting has also been a crucial metric.

Showdown, unlike typical golf DFS that spans the entire tournament, is a contest that focuses on each round as an individual event. Finding players performing well on approach is a good general rule. However, roster decisions that give you ownership leverage by taking riskier players who haven't played their best but present a high likelihood of a bounce-back round are also important. In other words, this is a sprint, not a marathon.

Weather, Course Conditions, and Tee Times

The wind kicking up on Saturday certainly hampered scores from the perfect conditions on Thursday and Friday. Sunday's final round is set to be breezy as well, which should give players another good feel for what next week's Open Championship at Royal Portrush will be like. Ball striking on approach led the way for McIlroy and others who had solid days in round 3, which should be the major factor to lead the way tomorrow as well.

Round 4 Strategy

The mindset for final-round showdowns is not to pull any punches. A great starting point is to take guys who have a knack for hammering down the gas pedal on Sunday and have at least shown flashes of form over the first three rounds.

Remember that ownership levels will continuously drop the closer you get to the morning's first tee time, so finding the guys who will bounce back is paramount to winning big.

$10,000+

Favorite Play: Having Rory McIlroy back in the mix feels less joyful this time around, given his quarrels with the media since winning a green jacket. However, the presence is as commanding as ever, especially considering he's the player in the field ranked top five in strokes gained putting (+2.08) and top 20 in strokes gained on approach (+0.95). Even though he's technically tied for the lead, it still feels like the 36-year-old's tournament to lose.

Other Options: Scottie Scheffler

$9,000+

Favorite Play: Ludvig Aberg was making a run on Saturday to be front and center at this championship before an ugly triple-bogey on the 13th hole squandered it. The 25-year-old is one of the few "normal hitters" near the top who aren't able to bomb and gouge their way around.

The issue is that the putter comes and goes, but the iron play has been on point through the first three days, barring his gaff on Saturday. Still, he's the only player inside the top 10 who ranks inside the top 30 in strokes gained metrics across the board.

Other Options: Viktor Hovland

$8,000+

Favorite Play: Bookend double-bogeys is a tough scene for a round that included seven birdies on Saturday for Taylor Pendrith. The Canadian gained +1.39 strokes on approach on Saturday and ranks fourth in the field in driving distance (316.6) and ninth in strokes gained tee to green (+1.89). If he can get a few more putts to fall tomorrow, watch out!

Other Options: Wyndham Clark, Harris English

$7,000+

Favorite Play:  Statistically, Tom Kim's third round was the best of his week thus far, led by gaining +2.88 in strokes gained on approach. The South Korean has had a difficult season, but with The Renaissance Club being a strong place for him in the past, there's an obvious comfort here that is worth leaning into for Sunday's final round.

Other Options: Kevin Yu, Andrew Novak

$6,000+

Favorite Play:  Roman Langasque is proving again that he is a force to be reckoned with at The Renaissance Club, as he looks for his third consecutive top 25 finish in this event. After a rough first round, the 30-year-old has turned in back-to-back 67s. He ranks 22nd on the week in strokes gained putting (+0.86) and on approach (+0.91). For someone this low on the board, it's rare to see this type of production along with the course history to match.

Other Options: Kristoffer Reitan

Good luck, and may the odds ever be in your favor.
