Round 4 PGA DFS Showdown Picks - 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship

Scottie Scheffler - PGA DFS Lineup Picks, PGA News, Golf Betting Picks

Todd McGill's Round 4 PGA DFS showdown slate picks for the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship. His top in-tournament DFS lineup picks and top plays for DraftKings and FanDuel.

The first week of the FedEx Cup playoffs is nearly in the books, with one round remaining before moving on to the BMW Championship and determining who will automatically qualify for all the Signature Events in 2026. Making it to the top 50 is the goal for many players, and with popular names like Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler on the fringe, tomorrow holds significant weight for many.

Tommy Fleetwood holds a one-stroke lead over Justin Rose, and Scottie Scheffler is lurking close behind, just two shots back. For much of the field outside of the top three, strokes gained ball striking is the leading correlation to success at TPC Southwind. The Englishman is still looking to get his first win on the PGA Tour, and tomorrow is yet another great opportunity to do so.

Showdown, unlike typical golf DFS that spans the entire tournament, is a contest that focuses on each round as an individual event. Finding players performing well on approach is a good general rule. However, roster decisions that give you ownership leverage by taking riskier players who haven't played their best but present a high likelihood of a bounce-back round are also important. In other words, this is a sprint, not a marathon.

Weather, Course Conditions, and Tee Times

As the course continues to firm up, scores have certainly been harder to come by. While the wind hasn't been a constant threat, its presence on certain holes narrows already small landing areas for quality shots. Looking for players who are trending well and may get a chance to beat the heat for a few holes may not be a bad weather-dependent strategy.

Round 4 Strategy

The mindset for final-round showdowns is not to pull any punches. A great starting point is to take guys who have a knack for hammering down the gas pedal on Sunday and have at least shown flashes of form over the first three rounds.

Remember that ownership levels will continuously drop the closer you get to the morning's first tee time, so finding the guys who will bounce back is paramount to winning big.

$10,000+

Favorite Play: If you've watched any professional golf over the last two years, then Scottie Scheffler is the no-brainer option. Regardless of your feelings toward the Tiger comparisons, his presence on this leaderboard is as large as they come, given who is at the helm.

He's improved his score each of the first three days, ending Saturday's round with a day's best, +3.26 strokes gained putting. His ability to take over tournaments on Sunday is the reason he's held on to the number one ranking in the world for so long. If anyone is to spoil the day for Fleetwood, the chances it's Scheffler are high.

Other Options: Xander Schauffele

$9,000+

Favorite Play: When thinking of a ball striker's paradise like TPC Southwind, Sepp Straka is a name that comes to mind, and sitting at T10, he is in a great position to capture his sixth top 10 finish of the season. The 32-year-old ranks 12th in strokes gained putting (+0.82) and 13th in strokes gained off the tee (+0.62). Look for him to give it a run tomorrow if the irons get a fraction sharper.

Other Options: Viktor Hovland

$8,000+

Favorite Play: Corey Conners is certainly more of a dart-throw play sitting at T41st, but the ability to lead the field in strokes gained on approach (+2.09) while sitting outside the top 40 suggests something is bound to change for him tomorrow. Whether that is for better or worse remains to be seen, but the flat stick had at least been more effective than this over the past few months.

Other Options: Ben Griffin, Patrick Cantlay

$7,000+

Favorite Play: J.J. Spaun is continuing on his incredible 2025 season and looking to throw a shake-up in things tomorrow, as he sits in T4 position. The U.S. Open champion ranks inside the top five in strokes gained ball striking (+2.55) and greens in regulation (66.7%). He's in zero danger of missing out on East Lake, but that doesn't mean he won't take another chance at getting in the winner's circle.

Other Options: Si Woo Kim, Chris Kirk, Rickie Fowler,

$6,000+

Favorite Play: We're gonna go with the hot hand approach here with Jhonattan Vegas, who finished Saturday ranked second in strokes gained ball striking (+3.60) and third in both driving accuracy (78.6%) and greens in regulation (72.2%). If tomorrow is met with a little more prowess for holing putts, the 40-year-old should be a fun storyline to follow as he tries to get inside the top 50 on Cup points.

Other Options: Taylor Pendrith

Good luck, and may the odds ever be in your favor.
