NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the HighPoint.com 400 at Pocono Raceway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Pocono Raceway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the HighPoint.com 400 race on Sunday afternoon.

The field was split into two groups for this practice session. The second practice group (Group B) had the faster session and the faster times.

Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.

 

Important Practice Notes

Chris Buescher - In the early stages of the second group's practice session, Chris Buescher spun out. He didn't hit anything, so no major concerns there.

Five-Lap Averages - Because Pocono is such a large track, we should look at five-lap averages as well (especially considering only nine cars made a ten-lap run in practice). The ten fastest cars in terms of five-lap average on Saturday were:

  1. William Byron - 53.597 seconds
  2. Martin Truex, Jr. - 53.644 seconds
  3. Tyler Reddick - 53.710 seconds
  4. Chris Buescher - 53.720 seconds
