Yuli Gurriel Homers For Second Straight Game
6 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel homered for the second game in a row Tuesday night against the Twins. Gurriel is slugging .455 over his last 55 at-bats and the pair of home runs are his first extra-base hits since August 25. It has been another solid season for Gurriel despite slashing .200/.240/.331 since the All-Star break. He does has 67 runs batted in this season, thanks to a scorching .400 batting average in 115 at-bats with runners in scoring position. Gurriel lacks the power to compete with other elite fantasy options at first base but could help rosters in deeper leagues and AL-only leagues moving forward.
