X-Rays Negative On Joey Gallo
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, X-rays came back negative on Minnesota Twins outfielder Joey Gallo (leg) after he left Wednesday's contest early against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the ninth inning after fouling a ball off his leg. Gallo is officially dealing with a leg contusion and should be considered day-to-day moving forward. The power-hitting left-handed slugger did go 1-for-4 with his 10th home run of the season (a solo shot) and two strikeouts before departing late in the 7-3 loss. The 29-year-old could be back in the Twins' lineup for their next game, but fantasy managers will want to check the starting lineup first. Never one to hit for average, Gallo entered Wednesday's contest hitting just .214 (21-for-98), but with five doubles, a triple, nine home runs and 21 RBI in 33 games.
