William Byron had an amazing run with the No. 24 car on Sunday and led a race-high 30 laps to boot. However, it was a "lack of awareness" from Tyler Reddick that forced Byron's hand very late at Charlotte. That run-in (having to miss the chicane) with 18+ laps left led to Byron's late charge that fell short. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver needed to win the race on Sunday to advance and was running third before he lost control of his car. He gave one of the more valiant attempts of the season but his 11th place finish was nowhere near enough to advance to the Round Of 8. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
