1 year agoMinnesota Twins utility man Willi Castro (back) is being listed as day-to-day with back tightness after he was a late scratch from Saturday night's lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies. Castro had his back tighten up on him on Friday. "We're still assessing it," manager Rocco Baldelli said. "He took a couple of swings today and didn't feel great. We're going to just see how a day-to-day approach applies with him." The 26-year-old sat out of the series finale on Sunday against the Phillies, but he could return for a series opener on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers after getting another day to rest on Monday during the team's scheduled off day. Castro has been useful with a career-high 29 stolen bases in his first year in Minnesota, but otherwise he's hitting .241 (67-for-278) with five homers, 26 RBI and 42 runs scored in 101 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
