Wilfred Veras Stays Hot With Two Home Run Game
6 months agoChicago White Sox third base/outfield prospect Wilfred Veras launched two home runs on three hits on Thursday. Over his past 11 games, Veras has posted a solid .262/.333/.452 line. Overall, through 47 games in his second look at Double-A this season, the 21-year-old has held a .290/.322/.468 line with seven home runs, 23 RBI, and six stolen bases. Veras spent 38 games last summer with Double-A and held a similar .309/.346/.533 line. The young outfielder has proven over an extended stretch that he is more than capable of moving up to Triple-A. He remains a name to monitor in dynasty leagues, as he could become an interesting stash candidate if he carries this success over to Triple-A Charlotte. If he does, he has a good chance of making his major league debut toward the end of the season.
