Wade LeBlanc Aims To Keep Quality-Start Streak Going
7 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc will take the ball Thursday night against the Rangers. LeBlanc has been excellent since being inserted into the starting rotation, allowing only five runs through 26 1/3 innings as a starter with 19 strikeouts. The left-hander has been a godsend after beginning the season in the bullpen and is pitching like he wants to stay in the rotation moving forward. He has made it through five innings in each of his last four starts and carries a 1.10 WHIP into Thursday's game. He may not be a long-term fantasy solution but has value as a desperation short-term option for Thursday.
